    3 Keys to a Successful Podcast Sep 04, 2023
    Show notes

In this deeply introspective episode, I share my journey of self-discovery, battling imposter syndrome, and unlocking the three pivotal keys to running a successful podcast. Drawing from my personal experiences and the evolution of the "Keep What You Earn" show, these insights have been invaluable:

    1. Content: I delve into the importance of content, bust the myth of 'not having enough to say,' and offer practical exercises to identify potential podcast topics.

    2. Consistency & Commitment: This dual concept emphasizes the significance of showing up, honoring commitments, and understanding the impact of regular content on loyal listeners.

    3. Conversion: Going beyond just broadcasting, I stress the need for a podcast to fit into an ecosystem, offering actionable insights on monetizing, building relationships, and crafting effective calls to action.

Whether you're a seasoned podcaster or just starting out, this episode provides a roadmap to podcasting success, all while emphasizing the importance of authenticity and listener engagement.

What you'll hear in this episode:

[2:43] What are the 3 C's for a successful podcast?

[2:46] The first C is Content.

[6:22] The second C is Consistency and Commitment.

[9:34] The last C is Conversion.

Take Advantage of an Accountable Plan in Your Business Aug 23, 2023
    Show notes

Business owners often use their personal items to conduct business and do not always take advantage of the associated tax benefits. Most people know about the home office deduction and vehicle mileage, but there are many more opportunities that you can take advantage of as a business owner structured as an S corp.

The accountable plan is used by S Corporation owners to save money in taxes, aside from the self-employment taxes that you're going to experience saving on just by having the S Corp. I'll be explaining what it is, why you need it in your business, and how to go about getting the proper paperwork in place.

[1:05] What is an accountable plan?

[2:30] What can you reimburse with an accountable plan?

[5:18] Is there a formal process to follow when reimbursing yourself?

[7:50] Why do I need an accountable plan if I already take some of these deductions on my standard tax return?

[11:45] Can you do a bulk reimbursement once a year? Or does it need to meet a specific timeframe?

[12:40] What do you need to actually implement an accountable plan?
