    Judge Bex

Do you have a dispute with your parents, friend, or sibling that you need settled in the court of Bex? She’s decided to dust off her Law Degree (that’s a thing she has!) and bring the court room to you. Maybe your parents are withholding pocket money unfairly? Maybe your sibling is blaming you for losing their favourite toy? Maybe your best friend didn’t complete their dare properly?

Bex and her team of ace attorneys review each case with a fine tooth-comb to deliver verdicts that are definitely legally binding.

Football vs. Golf and the Great Reading Showdown May 08, 2026
    Show notes

Kyron says his dad promised to watch football every Saturday, but after just one game, Dad ditched the sidelines for the golf course!

Is "practicing to be a great golf buddy" a good enough excuse? Will football reclaim its rightful Saturday slot – or is it game over for Dad's Saturday swings?

Meanwhile, Dolly loves reading... but only when it's a book she picks! Every night, Dad makes her read a school book he won't even listen to, preferring to scroll on his phone.

Is this justice, or just lazy parenting? Can the court come up with a solution that makes reading time more fun (and less phoney) for everyone?

Judge Bex hands down her final riddance: no appeals, no takesies-backsies!

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? May 02, 2026
    Show notes

Clara brings her mum to Judge Bex’s court, desperate to stop the barrage of embarrassing pet names like Sausage, especially at the school gates where everyone can hear. Mum argues pet names are a sign of love, but Clara wants simply to be called Clara!

Judge Bex listens carefully, considers the evidence (including a very telling birthday card!), and makes a ruling that will change how this family feels about nicknames forever.

Plus: Should Clara get to invent a nickname for Mum in return?

Meanwhile, nine-year-old Zachary is in court after being banned from his two favourite TV shows, SpongeBob SquarePants and Horrid Henry. According to Mum and Dad, too much screen time is making him "cheeky" and he’s copying the characters a little too closely!

Zachary pleads his case, while Mum and Dad insist they're only trying to set boundaries. Judge Bex weighs in on screen time limits and serves up a surprising solution that just might get Mum and Dad singing the SpongeBob theme tune themselves!

    Dogs and 4 o'clock wake-ups Apr 25, 2026
    Show notes

Camilla desperately wants a new pet: a guinea pig, or better yet, a dog! Mum sets out her defence: dogs are a huge long-term commitment, cost a lot, and when Camilla goes to university, guess who'll be left scooping poop? (Hint: Not Camilla!)

Meanwhile, sibling roommates Emily and William are at war over early mornings. Emily’s beauty sleep is regularly shattered by William, who’s wide awake after a doggy face-lick alarm clock. William blames the dog, Emily wants to join morning video games but not at 4 or 5am – and mum has resorted to earplugs!

Family life isn’t always purrfect, but there’s always a way to make it work. Got a case for Bex? https://funkidslive.com/judgebex

Alarm troubles and pocket money wars Apr 18, 2026
    Show notes

Charlotte says Dad's 6:20am wake-up calls are an offence against sleep – and that string of defeated alarm clocks can testify! Dad insists it’s the only way Charlotte will get up (eventually) and they need to get to school early since both parents are teachers there...

Can a compromise be found or is Charlotte doomed to be the first one through the school gates forever?

Meanwhile, Elsa argues £1 a week just doesn’t stretch far enough. Especially when her parents "forget" to pay up! With secondary school around the corner, she wants more money and more control... Mum claims Elsa already gets plenty of extras and that if she wants more cash, she’ll have to step up her chores.

Will Elsa negotiate a pay rise from the Bank of Mum?

Which side are you on? Judge Bex is ready to rule!

The Great Snack Smuggle and the Ketchup Conundrum Apr 12, 2026
    Show notes

Today in the courtroom of Judge Bex, two tasty cases stand trial.

First, Arabella takes her dad to court, accusing him of smuggling – and eating –her precious American snacks. Can Dad Chris wiggle out of the charge or will Judge Bex tax him harder than 1773?

Then, it’s a battle of the sauces as Alistair’s love for ketchup frustrates his mum, who’s desperate to serve up healthy meals not drowned in red stuff. Is there a way for everyone to keep their cool – or at least their condiments?

Plus: Connor and Lauren do their best to unpick Judge Bex’s meaty sentences and try to keep up with ketchup chaos.

Mum blames the rat as Dad dishes out dinner drama Apr 04, 2026
    Show notes

Ruby loves having friends over but something stinks in her bedroom and it’s not her five innocent pet rats! Whenever her BFF visits, mum "drops a gift" and tries to blame the fallout on Ruby’s furry companions...

Can Ruby air her grievances and finally get a confession from Mum? Will the nose witnesses sway Judge Bex? How does a hamster survive such hazardous conditions?

Meanwhile, it's dinner time and Isla's house is far from peaceful. Isla claims she gets scolded daily for "chomping" her food but points the finger right back at Dad for even louder eating! Is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black? Can Judge Bex restore peace at the table and keep the neighbours from complaining?

Judge Bex is back with two delightfully disastrous domestic disputes that only she can solve. Submit your case at funkidslive.com/judgebex.

Late lights-out and family radio feuds Mar 29, 2026
    Show notes

Sisters Sophia and Sienna make their case against Mum for an extra few precious minutes awake before lights-out. All their friends get to stay up later... Is it time for a bedtime extension?

But Mum’s armed with a bulletproof routine and concerns about morning moodiness. Can they persuade Judge Bex to make Mum budge for a Friday or Saturday treat?

Meanwhile, sibling duo Frederick and Florence charge their dad with the heinous crime of switching off Fun Kids radio in favour of… country music! Yuck!

Dad can’t handle the Captain Underpants Fart Song, but Judge Bex, the Fun Kids boss, and a crowd of loyal listeners aren’t having it...

Will Dad be forced to face a future full of fart songs, or can the court broker a peace?

Chores, Cats, and Snoring Mums Mar 22, 2026
    Show notes

Do Ethan and Marcus do too much around the house while mum and dad relax – or is there more to the story? From filling water bottles and feeding the cat, to tackling the most boring task of all (the dishwasher), the boys say the list never ends! Mum Claire and Dad Alex argue back, but Judge Bex has a twist in store: a star chart for the parents, proof of chores, and extra screen time for completed tasks.

Meanwhile, Mummy's snoring is so powerful, Penny claims she can't sleep! After an award-worthy snoring impression, all eyes turn to mum, who admits the issue – sometimes even waking herself up!

Penny wants earplugs, mum gets stitched up with a case out of left field, and Judge Bex lays down a surprising and sweet judgment.

Bonus: what should happen if mum wakes Penny multiple times in one night?

The sweet heist and Pokémon playtime dispute Mar 15, 2026
    Show notes

Sean has had enough! Every time he wins, receives, or buys treats like marshmallows and Toblerone, Dad just can’t resist. Is it a harmless household sharing culture, or a serious case of snack theft? Dad Adrian says he just couldn’t help it but Sean wants justice… and his chocolate back.

Meanwhile, Billy just wants to hang out and play Pokémon with his big brother Alexander – but Alexander would rather read or play chess than another round of battles. Is it fair for Billy to keep asking? Should Alexander be forced to play Pokémon if he’s not feeling it?

Lauren and Connor reflect on the cases. Should treats always be shared? Is Judge Bex's suggestion of a "supermarket sweep" a fair price for snack theft? Is it a big sibling’s duty to entertain a younger one?

Letter allowance and family holidays Mar 08, 2026
    Show notes

Baird is frustrated – his parents have been to lots of places, but he’s only ever been to London. Dad says many trips were before Baird was born. What can be done? Turns out, even a Holiday Inn sounds fun!

Meanwhile, Sisters Elsie and Isabel are at odds. Elsie is a prolific letter-writer, sliding up to 100 notes under Isabel’s door, despite their rooms being three meters apart! Isabel’s complaint: It’s repetitive, distracting, and sometimes she just bins the notes. But maybe letter writing is also a handwriting helper?
