“Daktari” Shari R. Hicks, Psy.D. is an Oakland-based dancer, psychologist, and sakhu djaerist (spirit illuminator). Since earning her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2015 from the California Institute of Integral Studies, Daktari is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist, working mostly with parolees, probationers, sex offenders, severely physically ill, and geriatric clients. In 2016, Daktari founded the Daktari Dance Medicine Collective (DDMC), an unapologetically Black:Afrikan collective of divinely-inspired healers who tap into the mediums of drum, dance, ritual, rhythmic breathplay, meditation, mirroring, cleansing, and ubuntu to evoke spiritual liberation and illumination for Black:Afrikan folks all over the globe.Mikhael “Magik” Ali (Brother Olou) is a holistic practitioner, crystal healer, plant-based culinary chef, healing space facilitator, community activist, and peace keeper. Mikhael advocates for natural healing via ancient spiritual practices and living an alkaline plant based lifestyle.Larica Luckett recently started her private practice as a Reiki Therapist, and Energy and Crystal Healer. She has a BA in Psychology, Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, and is currently obtaining her license as a Board Certified Behavior Analysis. Anthony Scott is a twenty-two year-old artist from Oakland California who came to share his health & healing journey as well as learn from the panelist. (Representing the voice of a young Black male on his journey to radiance).
