In this powerful episode of The Jesus People Podcast, Jenny Joy, former witch turned deliverance minister, shares her raw journey from occult bondage, trauma, and mental torment to freedom in Christ. We unpack demonology without glorifying darkness: how “open doors” (occult, trauma, unforgiveness, fear, sexual sin) invite oppression, why deliverance + discipleship must go together, and how to walk in authority in Jesus at home, anointing your house, covering your family, and renewing your mind after freedom.
Jenny also explains spirit spouse/incubus–succubus, practical self-deliverance steps (repentance, breaking agreements, prayer & fasting), and the role of forgiveness, including forgiving yourself, in lasting transformation. If you’re wrestling with anxiety, night torment, sexual strongholds, or confusion about the spirit realm, this conversation will help you trade fear for faith and torment for peace.
Key Highlights:
- From witchcraft, abuse, and self-harm to a clear, “unmuffled” walk with God
- Open Doors 101: trauma, occult, fear, unforgiveness, sexual sin, generational patterns
- Deliverance + Discipleship: sweep the house, then fill it (Word, worship, community)
- Authority at Home: husbands as spiritual covering; parents training kids to rebuke fear
- Spirit Spouse explained, signs, dreams, and how to break agreements in Jesus’ name
- When freedom requires prayer & fasting (Mark 9:29) and ongoing mind renewal
- A balanced view: mental health care and spiritual warfare aren’t enemies
If you (or someone you love) feel stuck in cycles of fear, lust, confusion, or oppression, Jenny’s testimony and practical tools point to the freedom and authority available in Jesus.
