Near-death experience guest 559 is Pastor Steve Kang. He is a former Buddhist who had a NDE in 1998. During his NDE experience he went to hell and he also heard the voice of Jesus. Pastor Steve Kang is married to Goeun and graduated from Talbot Seminary in 2008. He was saved from a near death accident in 1998 by the grace of God thru the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and has been serving as full-time and now bi-vocational pastor for the next generation for the past 20 years. He is called to make disciples and plant churches and bringing the lost back home as well. He works in IT and speaks regularly for the next generation on revival and discipleship. He is a former 1st LT USAR Chaplain and church planter with the Southern Baptist Convention.

Near-death experience podcast 557 is Barbara Bartolome. Barbara is the Founder and Group Leader of IANDS Santa Barbara. Barbara has experienced two Near-Death Experiences (NDE), the first at 18 months old and the second when she was thirty-one years old. She very clearly remembers and recounts the second NDE, where she immediately and accurately told the Neurosurgeon, Orthopedic Surgeon, and medical team that were present what had been said and done in the room during her resuscitation. Shocked, they denied it to avoid liability for the error that had caused her death. She chose to never speak about it with anyone until about a dozen years after it had occurred, when she found out that others had experienced NDEs, worldwide, and that she wasn’t alone. Barbara had never been told about her early childhood NDE until her eldest brother disclosed it to her when she was in her mid-fifties. Her brother was completely unaware of her second NDE when he brought his memory of the childhood NDE up to her. He had been twelve years old when he had witnessed his little sister die for approximately five minutes and then return to life, and he had been sternly told by their parents to never mention that it had occurred. Barbara founded the IANDS Santa Barbara group in August 2011, and their meetings and events routinely draw large audiences. Barbara states that NDEs are opening up the world to the reality of non-local consciousness and she’s thrilled to be helping people learn that death is just a transition back “home” and that we all are here to love others, learn much, and enjoy all aspects of our life adventures! Barbara and her NDE have been featured on the NBC Today Show, in articles in U.S. News and World Report and The Sun (U.K.), and in various podcasts, TV, radio, and print articles.

Near-death experience podcast guest 554 is William Peters Worlds leading authority on SDEs, founder of the Shared Crossing Project and global leader in shared death studies and end-of-life phenomenon. During this podcast we talked about his 2 near death experiences and shared death experiences William Peters, M.Ed, MFT, is the founder of the Shared Crossing Project whose mission is to positively transform relationships to death and dying through education and raising awareness about shared crossings and their healing benefits. As the director of the Shared Crossing Research Initiative (SCRI), William and his team collect and study extraordinary end-of-life experiences (shared crossings). William is a global leader in shared death studies and end-of-life phenomenon. He has developed methods to facilitate the shared death experience and to assist experiencers in meaningfully integrating their experiences. William is a psychotherapist at the Family Therapy Institute of Santa Barbara where he specializes in end-of-life counseling as a means toward psycho-spiritual evolution. He served as a hospice worker with Zen Hospice Project in San Francisco. His work is informed by his two NDEs and a variety of shared crossings. William has presented at the American Academy of Hospice andPalliative Medicine’s Annual Conference. William’s work has appeared in the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and in Omega - Journal of Death Studies. William’s book entitled At Heaven’s Door:  What Shared Journeys to the Afterlife Teach About Dying Well and Living Better, published by Simon & Schuster.
