    Show notes

Welcome to this Ambassadors Corner where Alice Wong and Alan Kwok interview Stef Yim on Clubhouse's Ambassador's Corner - this episode is hosted by Stevie Kim - recorded on Clubhouse and replayed here on the Italian Wine Podcast!

Listen in on this series as Italian Wine Ambassadors all over the world chat with Stevie and their chosen wine producer. Which producer would you interview if you got your pick?

    About Stef Yim:

Born in Hong Kong, Stef grew up in LA where he became a Sommelier at top restaurants. He quickly became fascinated with wines from volcanic soils, after wines from these soils kept beating Grand Cru Burgundy and others in his blind tastings.

To learn winemaking, Stef worked for wineries in Lake County US, Madiran France, and the Canary Islands, Spain, before purchasing a plot of land in Contrada Taccione on Mount Etna and built his own winery in 2014 (Azienda Agricola Sciara). The story unfolds from there but you will have to tune-in to find out!

Ep. 636 Rebecca Lawrence interviews Annie Replogle in this episode of Voices

    More about Annie Replogle

She is a passionate food and wine lover living in New York City. She works as the Marketing Manager for Massanois, a U.S.-based wine importer and distributor. Her love of Italian wine began a decade ago upon taking a wine course during her study abroad in Florence, Italy — an opportunity that allowed her to travel to vineyards across Tuscany learning about wine and the art of deductive tasting. Years later, she decided to pursue this passion even further—a move that led her to work in Tuscany, Italy; Australia’s Barossa Valley; Marlborough, New Zealand; La Rioja, Spain; as well as Sonoma, Los Angeles and New York City. She has experience in marketing and selling wine, conducting wine events and tastings, and helping wineries build brand awareness and increase sales. Annie holds a WSET Level 3 certification and recently became a certified VIA Italian Wine Ambassador in June.

    Ep. 635 Francesca Coppola | Biodynamic & Organic Aug 16, 2021
    Show notes

Ep. 635 Monty Waldin interviews Francesca Coppola of the Pizzolato winery on this episode of Biodynamic & Organic.

    More about the winery:

Five generations of history and tradition, a long commitment in the oenological production, respecting the wine and its quality, a Winery that has been able to put into practice its own idea of "future". These are the deep roots of the Pizzolato Family, on which the whole production philosophy was founded. It has been a long road that started 40 years ago, when, in 1981, Settimo joined the Company, started to collaborate with his father, and gradually undertook the organic management of the Winery. He is one of the first wine producers in Italy that made this choice.

Settimo Pizzolato was able to gain the official certification for organic wines in 1991. Today the result is a Wine that tells us about the land, and a life style in harmony with nature.

“Forty years have gone, since I started to work beside my father and to manage our Farm- says the owner, Settimo Pizzolato - Since that moment, my wish was to change-over to the organic production and to again find the ancient connection between Man and Earth.”
