When 48-year-old Floyd East Jr., a Texas Tech University police officer, responded to a disturbance call at the Talkington Residence Hall on October 9th, 2017- he couldn’t immediately locate the suspect. But while conducting a search, authorities did find a small pharmacy of illegal controlled substances inside of a dorm room. When 19-year-old college sophomore Hollis Daniels arrived back at his quad-style suite hours later, police conveniently met him at the door. He was patted down and carefully searched, however, by some bizarre circumstance, officers missed the one thing that would have prevented a campus tragedy just hours later…

    Show notes

When Melissa Howard was found dead in her Crestview, FL home on January 6th, 2006, the case left investigators stumped. There was no shortage of possible suspects with motive to kill her. But there was a near total lack of physical evidence. Melissa would wait over a decade for justice, as her case proved impossible to solve until investigators used technology that wouldn’t be developed until long after her murder.

Special Appeal to the Public - Who Is Dr. Gloves? Nov 05, 2023
    Show notes

In the mid-to-late 2010’s an individual operating under the pseudonym “master” allegedly began uploading several disturbing original photographs to various online gore forums on 4-Chan and Death Addict depicting the mutilation of deceased pre-term fetuses and infants. This user also shared several photographs depicting the horrific taunting and physical abuse of several medically compromised and vulnerable children in a contemporary U.S. hospital setting. The original content was so disturbing - that users quickly dubbed the original poster as Dr. Gloves - a reflection of his unusual choice of attire. A hazmat coverall splash suit, elbow length surgical gloves, and a black leather BDSM bondage mask… Can you help solve a nearly decade long mystery?

WARNING: This episode deals with extremely detailed depictions of violence, abuse, and exploitation of children, and includes optional access to an active online investigative website which includes heavily redacted photographs of these criminal offenses. Extreme listener and viewer discretion is advised.

Written and Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway.

If you have information central to this investigation and believe criminal activity is currently taking place, or that children or other victims may be at immediate risk of further abuse or exploitation - please contact the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Police directly at 909-383-5311, and ask for Detective Madrigal (Reference Case SBPD 2022-131974).

    Whoop(s) Oct 15, 2023
    Show notes

No one ever said that marriage was easy. Long-lasting relationships take work. Even then, sometimes they simply don’t work out. In fact, nearly half of first time marriages end in divorce. And when things like 60/40 child custody splits and hidden assets enter the picture, things can get ugly. When 41-year-old Rebecca Bliefnick was found murdered in her Quincy, IL home in February of 2023, authorities naturally looked toward the estranged husband. But as the investigation ensued, they realized that it’s not often the prime suspect in a murder investigation admits on live television - that he regrets marrying his wife, just a few years before her murder…
