On November 17, 2015, Jennifer Rosenbaum called 911 stating her two year old foster child Laila Daniel had choked on a chicken nugget. During the call, she expressed concern that she was performing the Heimlich Maneuver and CPR incorrectly, fearing she might be inadvertently injuring the child. Once the toddler arrived at the ER, her body told a far different story than what Jennifer Rosenbaum had been claiming all along.

45-year-old Woodbury Upper Elementary school teacher Aisha Fraser was brutally attacked by her ex-husband just before Thanksgiving in 2018. Her estranged ex-husband, former Ohio State Representative, Senator, and Cuyahoga County Common Court Pleas Judge Lance Mason, had been given one too many second chances on his stunning fall from grace.

On September 2, 2015, 35 year old pediatric dentist Dr. Kendra Hatcher was tragically murdered in the parking garage of her luxury apartment building in Dallas, Texas. At first glance, police believed it to be a random act of violence or a robbery gone awry. But Dr. Hatcher was scheduled to leave the very next day on a romantic vacation with her new boyfriend, Dr. Ricardo Paniagua. As the truth slowly began to unravel, the details of a sinister plan fed by the greed, envy, and obsession of a former scorned lover were eventually revealed.

46-year-old Houston native George Floyd’s tragic death at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers galvanized a worldwide movement to end police brutality against Black men and communities of color. His frantic last moments were captured by a passing 17-year-old high school student, and were subsequently broadcast around the entire world. Former MPD Officer Derek Chauvin delicately balanced his knee upon George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 horrifying seconds, until his heart stopped beating. Floyd’s murder has confronted every American with a vitally important and timely question: Do Black lives really matter?

A Deal with the Devil May 24, 2020

29-year-old Kelsey Berreth fell in love with a Colorado Rancher through an online Christian dating site. After giving up on her dreams in Washington and moving to rural Teller County, CO to be nearer Patrick Frazee, the two quickly became parents after an unplanned pregnancy. But no matter how much Kelsey longed for love and a future with Patrick - he had other women and refused to commit. On Thanksgiving Day of 2018, Kelsey mysteriously vanished after a trip to a local grocery store… but the story was infinitely more complex than police were prepared for, until the Teller County District Attorney made a proverbial deal with the devil that blew the case wide open.

67-year old retired Santa Fe Librarian Elvira Segura’s car is found abandoned in a pecan orchard 300 miles South of her home in Las Cruces, NM. After a police welfare check turns up her badly decomposed body, the hunt is on for her now missing live-in handyman, Robert Mondrian-Powell. In what initially seemed an open and shut case, complications quickly arose in one of New Mexico’s most bizarre and controversial murder cases.

Atlanta's Missing and Murdered Children Apr 26, 2020

Wayne Williams was convicted of the murders of two young adults in 1982, supposedly bringing an end to the reign of terror of the “Atlanta Monster.” But the cases of at least 27 other missing or murdered African American children were abruptly closed in the aftermath of his conviction, leaving the surviving families with little peace, and no semblance of closure. We spoke with three of the Directors of HBO’s new series, “Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children” - about their experience creating the new groundbreaking series, and what new light they hope to shed on the now 40-year-old cases. Their investigation uncovered shocking details of evidence tampering, perjury, and widespread cover-up at the highest levels of government and law enforcement.

48-year old Dana Wilkes mysteriously vanished from Chattanooga, Tennessee the evening of Friday, November 9th - 2012. A concerned family friend who was the last person to see her alive, turned out to have a dark past, and was hiding an even darker secret. A secret that police wouldn’t piece together until Dana’s badly mutilated body turned up two weeks later, in a spot eerily reminiscent of an unsolved 2002 homicide.
