Tim Williams: During the first Faction Rallies, we had a chance to learn a lot about how the activities motivated gameplay. We looked at the time invested compared to the rewards and made the following adjustments:
Faction Rallies
Strikes now reward faction tokens at a range of 5 to 9 faction tokens per completion (up from 3 to 7)
Nightfall now rewards 10 to 18 faction tokens on first completion per character
Completing Heroic Public Events now rewards 5 faction tokens (down from 8)
Destroying enemy resources no longer rewards faction tokens
Opening Lost Sector Chests now rewards 3 faction tokens for each fireteam member

1. Upcoming Updates
Chris Barrett, game director at Bungie, put forth some upcoming updates to the game.
`New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits.
-Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities.
-Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors.
-Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018).
-Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules.
-Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games).
-Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards.
-Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.
-Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication.
-New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards).
-An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.

#89: Where's the End Game? Oct 16, 2017

On this show, David and Jordan take an in depth look on the new formats to Iron Banner in Destiny 2. Discussing what they feel works with the new systems and what they feel needs reworking, with possible ways to rework it. Then the crew takes a look at the upcoming PC release and how it will affect the Destiny community and potentially the Destiny 2 end game. Following along that trend, the team then discusses next weeks prestige mode release for the raid and how it expands on the end game, and end game problems being felt in the community.
Lastly the team then took a long dive into comments and questions from you, the listeners. Destiny 2 has been receiving a lot of flack in certain areas so the team discussed the comments and questions the listeners had on Destiny 2's current standing.

Fixed an issue in which players could lose access to the Veteran’s Transmat Effect by deleting characters
Fixed an issue in which clan engrams would grant Trials of the Nine and raid rewards at only 10 Power
Fixed an issue in which progress for the Exotic Quest Step "His Highness's Seal" was not incrementing properly
Quest progress will still increment by 1, but the Quest Step now only requires 10 Seals to be collected
Fixed an issue in which raid milestones would not show for some players after the weekly reset (This didn’t affect any raid rewards)
Fixed issues in which players could enter a state where they are continuously killed or unable to resurrect if encounter complete and failure events occurred simultaneously

TWAB (Faction Wars)
Tim Williams: Each of the factions of the Tower is having a rally to collect resources for its cause. They’re recruiting Guardians to gather supplies for their faction and destroy enemy resources. They’ll offer a suite of rewards to help the Guardians rise up against any enemy threats. As an incentive, each faction has set aside a powerful weapon to entice players to choose their side. The faction whose Guardians collect the most faction packages will be declared the winner. The winning faction will offer the weapon to everyone, but all who pledged loyalty will receive it with a huge discount as repayment for their contributions to their faction’s cause.

#85: The Displeasure Gardens Sep 19, 2017

This week, In Orbit discusses the story in spoiler detail and goes into the lore that leads into "The Leviathan" raid, Destiny 2's first raid featuring the Cabal and a story that is given background by an adventure on patrol on Nessus, but not directly involving the main story of Destiny 2's campaign. In Orbit gives a review on the game, what we liked, did not like, and think needs to be improved upon.
In Orbit also goes into a brief synopsis of the raid. "The Leviathan" is a gigantic spectacle that amazes with it's look and many parts are a ton of fun to play, but once again, the game goes through so many moments of inconsistency. One infamous room, "Pleasure Gardens" is giving many people are hard wall to overcome due to the inconsistent nature of the Royal Beasts that patrol the region. Stay tuned for next week's episode where we give a review of the raid and a final review of the game.

#84: Dawn Of A New Age Sep 11, 2017

This week, In Orbit goes over our initial impressions on Destiny 2 now that It's here! We talk about the graphics, music, cinematics, story, content, controls, and gameplay. As a whole, the podcast enjoys the game, but we have a few issues in terms of story pacing, delivery, and overall difficulty.
We also discuss the leveling system that has proven to be a tad more complex than the system in Destiny 1 which has lead people to believe that they are losing out on power (the term that replaces light in this game) when they infuse their weapons and armor.
The community is also up in arms with regards to the shader system. Previously in Destiny 1, the shader system was you get a single shader, you apply it to your character, and your armor becomes that color. In Destiny 2, the shaders are now individual consumables that are not reusable, but you get them from all forms of activities. Each item, such as ghosts, armor, weapons, and ships, can be changed using these shaders.
