Episode 255:: ESPN Disaster Jul 04, 2023

Show notes

On today's episode I discuss last week's massive layoffs at ESPN. Many lost their jobs, but I for one am not surprised. I predicted this after ESPN gave Joe Buck and Troy Aikman absurd contracts to announce Monday Night Football. I am surprised at Jeff Van Gundy's firing though. Chris Russo of Sirius XM had an interesting take on Van Gundy and I agree with Russo! Bottom line, ESPN's management allowed this to happen with their reckless decisions!

Grant's Rant: 7-3-23 Damian Lillard Jul 03, 2023

Show notes

Damian Lillard wants out of Portland. That's fine and dandy, but the Blazers need to see a good return on their investment. Lillard has been a great Blazer, but Portland has done nothing the past several years. Maybe it's best for both parties to start fresh!

Grant's Rant: 6-30-23 Stop With Barnes Criticism Jun 30, 2023

Yesterday the Kings agreed with free agent Harrison Barnes on a new three-year deal. I am amazed to see so much criticism from Kings fans. I don't understand it, I really don't!

Episode 254: State of The Kings Jun 30, 2023

Show notes

On today's episode I discuss the state of the Kings as NBA Free Agency gets underway on this last day of June. I talk about keeping Harrison Barnes and the positive impact he brings to the team. I also take you back in time to 1998 and discuss how the Kings became the darlings of the NBA overnight. I see the same thing happening in 2023. How many teams right now can you honestly say are better than the Kings in the West? Maybe two, three at the most? I like where the Kings are right now and what a difference from last year at this time!

Grant's Rant: 6-29-23 Wemby Not Going To Sactown Jun 29, 2023

Show notes

The Spurs announced that top overall pick Victor Wembanyama will not be going to Sacramento for the California Classic. He can't even go and be part of the team? Wemby will join the team in Vegas for SL. What a joke! I never thought I'd see this from Pop and the Spurs organization. Let's kiss the ass of the 19 year old from Day 1 and let him know that he receives special treatment!
