Show notes

The Sacramento Kings hosted the 10 win Detroit Pistons last night. The Pistons had also played the night before while the Kings had been off since Sunday. Detroit ended the game on an 11-0 run with former Kings Corey Joseph hitting the game winning show. So, Kings fans is this a new rock bottom? Just embarrassing!

Grant's Rant: 1-19-22 Sac Kings Going From Bad To Worse Jan 19, 2022

Show notes

The Kings play host to the Pistons tonight to wrap up a home stand. I can't imagine many people will be in attendance to watch two of the worst teams in the league. Kings fans still want to know what the heck is going on. Where is owner Vivek Ranadive? Is he going to take responsibility for this mess? Will we see any significant deals before the February 10th trade deadline? The Kings lost to the worst team in the conference on Sunday. I can't imagine the crowd reaction if they lost to Detroit tonight.

Grant's Rant: 1-18-22 DeAndre Hopkins For MVP Jan 18, 2022

Show notes

When you discuss the MVP this year in the NFL who has been more valuable than DeAndre Hopkins of the Cardinals. He suffered a knee injury when the Cardinals were 10-2. Since then, they have been awful. Last night in the Wild Card game they were embarrassed by the Rams. QB Kyler Murray looked like he had never played before! Just a pathetic performance. Bottom line when Hopkins was on the field this year, they were great and awful without him!

Episode 135: Disgraceful Behavior Towards Sports Officials Jan 18, 2022

Show notes

On Sunday Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott made a very disturbing remark about the officials after his team lost to the 49ers. Prescott thought the fans were throwing debris at his teammates and called it sad. He was then told the fans were throwing things at the officials. Dak responded " credit to them then". Dak's comment was not only unprofessional but has definitely stained his reputation. I talk about abuse towards officials both on the youth sports and professional level. I read excerpts from several articles talking about abuse towards sports officials. This is a big problem in our country!

Grant's Rant: 1-17-22 Dak Far From Elite Jan 17, 2022

Show notes

The Dallas Cowboys season is over. The 49ers went into Big D and came away with the victory. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott validated that he is a good QB, but nothing more in my opinion. His performance yesterday was subpar and so were his comments after the game. about the officiating. Once again, another lost season for the Cowboys!

Grant's Rant: 1-14-22 MLB Greed Jan 14, 2022

Show notes

MLB and the MLBPA met via Zoom for the first time in 42 days yesterday. The word is they are still very far apart in reaching a labor agreement and the players were less than impressed with the owner's new proposals. Talk about a league being out of touch with reality! Do they really think fans are going to be sympathetic? Spring Training is in serious jeopardy and once again it is the little guy on the food chain who will suffer the most from this work stoppage. Just absurd!

Episode 134: Inspire Change NFL? Come On Now! Jan 14, 2022

Show notes

Yesterday the Houston Texans fired head coach David Culley. This makes Mike Tomlin of the Steelers as the league's only Black head coach. I talk about the constant messaging by the league such as end racism and inspire change....the league has fallen way short when it comes to Black coaches in the league. I read a list of all the Black head coaches since 2000 and talk about the negative reaction by so many. I then talk about the labor impasse with MLB and the Player's Union. What a disgrace! In this day and age and billionaires and millionaires can't figure out how to split up billions of dollars. Screw them is what i say!
