Grant's Rant: What Experts?? Aug 31, 2022

Show notes

Can we please stop sounding like we know what we're talking about when evaluating young QB's? All you need to do is look at the 2018 NFL Draft. There were 5 QB's taken in the first round and only two are with the teams that drafted them, and one is out of the league....so please stop with you "expert" analysis.

Grant's Rant: 8-30-22 49ers Looking Jimmy G Good Aug 30, 2022

Show notes

Excellent move by the 49ers to keep QB Jimmy Garoppolo for this season. As I see it, Trey lance has 8 quarters to show he is worthy of having the keys to the car. Here are the numbers that matter. Since Kyle Shanahan arrived in 2017 the Niners are 35-16 with jimmy G at the controls and 8-28 when he isn't. End of discussion!

Episode 193: AFC Preview Aug 30, 2022

Show notes

On today's episode I preview the AFC. I start in the West where I could see three teams easily making the playoffs. I give my thoughts on each team in the division that is as good as any in football. I then run down the AFC North and South divisions before talking about my AFC Champion pick, the Buffalo Bills. I see the Bills as the team to beat this season. I think they have all the ingredients to make it to the Super Bowl.

Grant's Rant: 8-29-22 No Covid Common Sense Aug 29, 2022

Show notes

The US Open begins in New York today, but you won't be seeing arguably the world's best tennis player of all time over stupidity. Novak Djokovic is banned from entering the US because he isn't vaccinated. This is beyond stupid. Without trying to sound like Dr Napear, I think it is pretty "common sense clear" that being jabbed, or not really doesn't matter. in terms of getting covid. Again, this makes zero sense!

Grant's Rant: 8-26-22 Bad News For Chet Aug 26, 2022

Show notes

Chet Holmgren is already done for his rookie season. The second overall pick in this year's draft suffered a serious foot injury in a pro-am game in Seattle. I don't have that a big of an issue with him playing in the event, but the game was called off in the second quarter due to condensation on the floor! Come on Now!!!!!
