Grant's Rant: 10-27-22 Keegan Time Oct 27, 2022

Show notes

Keegan Murray of the Kings will make his first NBA start tonight against Memphis. That's fine and dandy, but if the other players don't pick up their game it won't matter. Too many of the key guys such as Harrison Barnes and Domantas Sabonis are playing subpar thru three games. It's time to step up!

Grant's Rant: 10-26-22 Bye Bye Aaron Judge Oct 26, 2022

Show notes

The Yankees have a big decision to make regarding Aaron Judge. He will 31 in April and obviously is in high demand. He embodies everything you want in a Yankee but has a post season average of .211 in 44 playoff games. Personally, I wouldn't give him a HUGE deal over a long period of time. Yes, he puts people in the ballpark, but the Yanks are about winning titles. If you pay Judge a ton of money, how are you going to fix the other needs on the club? As hard as it would be to say goodbye to 99 I would do it.

Episode 208: The Agony of Being a Kings Fan Oct 25, 2022

Show notes

The Sacramento Kings have lost their first three games and many of the fans are already jumping off the ship. There are 79 games remaining, correct? I guess that is either good, or bad! On today's episode I read some responses to my rant on the team's poor defense. The season is one week old, and many fans are convinced it is the same 'ole Kings. Defensively, I would agree, but I think the talent level on this team is much better than a season ago. As they say time will tell!

Grant's Rant: 10-25-22 Stop With NBA Rookie of Year Talk! Oct 25, 2022

Show notes

The NBA season is one week young, and fans are already talking about the Kings rookie Keegan Murray and ROY. Can we please stop with that nonsense. Can we please at least wait a few months? There is no question the kid is talented, but let the season play out a bit please. Also, based on the first three, or four games, this rookie class looks pretty darn good!

Grant's Rant: 10-24-22 Same 'Ole Kings Oct 24, 2022

Show notes

The Kings are off to an 0- 3 start. Once again all we hear about is defense, defense and defense and then the game starts and there is no defense. Last night they allowed 89 points in the first half and lost 130-125 to the Warriors. The talent appears to be better than on last year's team, but the results are the same! There are a lot of games left, but the Kings better be careful, or their season will be over before we get to Thanksgiving!
