Grant's Rant: 11-18-22 Brittney Griner Nov 18, 2022

Show notes

I haven't talked much about Brittney Griner, but what has happened to her is absolutely awful. She was recently moved to a Russian labor camp to serve her nine-year prison sentence after being convicted for carrying a vape pipe with cannabis oil into the country. I read an article from Phil Mushnick, of the NY Post who hits this one right on the head!

Episode 213: World Cup Controversy Nov 18, 2022

Show notes

On today's episode I discuss the controversy surrounding the World Cup in Qatar which begins Sunday. I discuss the many concerns that have been raised by many people from countries around the world. I also discuss that like the recent Winter Olympics in China, the world once again is turning their head for a few weeks. The games always seem to go on, regardless of atrocities that may be commonplace in a particular host country. Actions speak louder than words and the world is telling Qatar we don't like your laws etc, but hey we'll be there!

Grant's Rant : 11-17-22 Who Cares!!!!!! Nov 17, 2022

Show notes

The Kings take the floor tonight vs the Spurs looking for their 5th straight win. For some reason Kings fans are bothered by the lack of praise from the national media such as TNT. Who the hell cares? Don't worry about it. You win 4 in a row and you think the national media is going to change a 16 year narrative of awful basketball? Go out and win, make the playoffs and win a series...then things will change!

Grant's Rant: 11-16-22 Kings Mania! Nov 16, 2022

Show notes

The Kings embarrassed the Nets in front of a national television audience last night and are now 7-6. Kings fans who have been suffering miserably since 2006 are going out of their mind! I get it, trust me! I understand the excitement, but the Kings beat the Nets last night....a team that entered play at 6-8 and had just lost to the pathetic Lakers 48 hours prior. Can we please keep things in perspective just a little bit? Thank you! Now carry on with your popping the corks of champagne bottles!

Episode 212: Hope In Sports Nov 15, 2022

Show notes

Have you ever thought about hope and sports? Think about it! On today's episode i talk about rooting for a bad team and what happens when that team starts show some promise. Most people's mood changes for the better. In Sacramento Kings fans are beginning to gain hope after the team elevated their record to 6-6. If you root for a bad team, a team that's been bad for a long time it doesn't take a lot for you to gain hope! Hope in sports is a beautiful thing! It is why we are fans!

Grant's Rant: 11-15-22 Law of Physics in the NFL? Nov 15, 2022

Show notes

How come the NFL doesn't take into account the law of physics on late hits such as what we saw last night on Monday Night football. Brandon Graham was flagged 15 yards because he ran into Washington QB Taylor Heinicke who had given himself up. Graham tried to hold up even going to his knees, but was flagged anyway. This makes no sense to me! There needs to be some common sense on calls.
