The Alvin gentry era began last night against a make shift line up for the Philadelphia 76ers. The Kings put 94 on the board and a whopping 12 points in the 4th quarter. Good thing they fired Luke Walton! What a difference! Gonna be a long, long year it looks like!

Grant's Rant: 11-22-21 Sacramento Kings Nightmare Nov 22, 2021

Show notes

The Sacramento Kings fired coach Luke Walton....so what's new right? Marcos Breton of the Sacramento Bee said it best. In his column yesterday he wrote .... "The problem is ownership. The problem is the guy who can't be fired but should be fired". Hard to dispute that!

Grant's Rant: 11-19-21 No More Excuses For Kings Nov 19, 2021

Show notes

The Sacramento Kings open a four game home stand against the Toronto Raptors. Toronto has not been playing well and played last night in Utah. A loss tonight would be a disaster on the heels of a 1-3 road trip.. No more excuses for the Kings!

Episode 118: Olden Polynice On Haiti, NBA, And Life Nov 19, 2021

Show notes

I loved my conversation with Olden Polynice! I have so much respect for him. We had a few issues when he played in Sacramento, but we talked about them and garnered much respect for one another. Why can't more people do this instead of all the hate everywhere? It's so great to get him on my podcast all these years later!

Grant's Rant: 11-17-21 GS Warriors Rolling and Curry is MVP Nov 17, 2021

Show notes

Last night Steph Curry scored 37 as the warriors routed the Nets in Brooklyn. How nice must it be to be a Golden state fan and watch Curry every night. He left the floor to chants of MVP last night which is unheard of for a visiting player. Good for him! He is an MVP on the floor and off the floor. The other great aspect was watching the Nets get blown out. I will never root for James Harden after the way he left Houston last year not to mention the self absorbed Kyrie Irving. Yes it is still November, but last night's game showed the separation of the two teams favored in their respective conferences.

Yesterday the athletic reported that Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton is on the hot seat. Why? Name me the all-star on the Kings roster. How many coaches do you need to see come and go before you realize coaching isn't the issue. Plus it is very early in the season...no time to panic right now!
