HR Happy Hour 226 - BetterWorks and Modern Performance Management Dec 07, 2015
    Show notes

HR Happy Hour 226 - BetterWorks and Modern Performance Management Recorded Friday, December 4, 2016 Hosts: Steve Boese, Trish McFarlane Guest: Kris Duggan, CEO and Co-Founder, BetterWorks This week on the show, Steve and Trish were joined by Kris Duggan from BetterWorks, a leading HR technology solution that helps organizations create and align individual and team goals, drive improved performance through increased conversations and coaching, and provide a platform to support what could be called 'modern' performance management. A 2015 trend, and one that is likely to continue in 2016, is organizations moving away from the traditional and annual peformance review and employee rating and moving towards the adoption of more frequent, ongoing, agile, and coaching-oriented performance management platforms. Kris shared his thoughts on the topic from his perspective working with BetterWorks customers and partners. This conversation is one that can help HR leaders as they think about evolving and modernizing their performance management processes in 2016. Additionally, Trish talked about her recent trip and keynote presentation at an HR event in Dubai, Steve shared the important Pantone 'Color of the Year' selections for 2016, and in a 'big' announcement, the HR Happy Hour twitter account passed 20,000 followers this week! This was a great conversation and show - big thanks to Kris Duggan for joining us this week. Chances are pretty good that at some time in your career you have interacted with Kronos' workforce management technologies - as their solutions for time and attendance, workforce scheduling, absence management and more have been implemented by tens of thousands of organizations worldwide. Kronos, since it touches thousands of organizations and millions of employees (most of them hourly workers), each day is in a unique position to help shape the dynamic and conversation around the workforce and the increasingly importance of scheduling to employee engagement and organizational performance. HR Happy Hour 224 - iCIMS and Talent Acquisition Technology Nov 09, 2015
    Show notes

HR Happy Hour #224 - iCIMS and Talent Acquisition Technology Hosts: Steve Boese, Trish McFarlane Guests: Madeline Laurano, Colin Day, Adam Feigenbaum Recorded Wednesday November 4, 2015 This week on the show, HR Happy Hour hosts Steve Boese and Trish McFarlane were at the recent iCIMS Analyst Day in San Diego, where they sat down with fellow analyst and official 'Friend of the HR Happy Hour' Madeline Laurano in Part 1 of the show, to talk about trends in HR and recruiting technology, and followed by a conversation with iCIMS CEO Colin Day, and COO Adam Feigenbaum about the state of the Applicant Tracking System, and the broader market for Talent Acquisition technology. iCIMS has developed a substantial list of customers for its talent acquisition technology suite, and has made a commitment to talent acquisition as its primary focus - sort of unique among large, established HR tech companies, many of which are or have been pushing to develop or acquire additional or adjacent capabilities. iCIMS has made a big bet that customers will understand and value what a provider solely focused on Talent Acquisition can offer, and on the show you can hear direct from iCIMS execs on why they have elected to stick with their core competency and how that benefits their customers. This was a really interesting and fun event. Thanks to iCIMS for having myself and Trish out at the event, and also thanks to Madeline, Colin, and Adam for taking the time to be a part of the HR Happy Hour Show.
