Two Blind Brothers Who Want YOU to TRUST THEM (Bradford and Bryan Manning) Sep 14, 2020
    Show notes

What I love most about today’s episode is that our guests remind us to put our MISSION at the forefront of everything we do. We need to remember the people we are trying to serve, the impact that we are called to make, and center everything we do around THAT. We have two unconventional leaders with us today who are making waves not only in the clothing industry but are giving voice to a community in a unique way.

Bradford and Bryan Manning are two blind brothers on a mission to cure blindness. At a young age, they were diagnosed with an eye disease that causes blindness over time. To fight back, they left their former careers to start Two Blind Brothers, a small charitable clothing company that donates 100% of its profits to drive life-changing research for a cure for blindness. Their condition inspired special attention to details, a passion that carries over into the construction of their clothing line. Two Blind Brothers focus on quality, comfort, and "sense of touch."

    TRY IT! Shop Blind: https://twoblindbrothers.com/

    A FEW QUESTIONS ASKED:

    • How do you draw others into a story you are passionate about and share the heart behind what you do?
    • How do you create a community around your brand and remember your mission while running the day to day?

    FROM TODAY’s EPISODE:

    • Why they didn't build their brand because they “thought it was a good business” but built it because the mission fired them up
    • How do you identify your story and identity what people are going to connect with
    • The competition for attention is much higher than people realize and that’s why your story has to be unforgettable
    • Why they believe the success of the brand is because they authentically cared “as much as we could” and none of it was manufactured
    • Why “hiding causes shame”
    • Why they view themselves as a media company and not a clothing brand
    • 11 million people in the US with retinal eye disease- “its an enormous group of people who are not always thought of”
