Developing PERSEVERANCE (Tony Memmel) Mar 09, 2020
    Show notes

Although he was born with one hand, Tony Memmel knew that the calling on his life was music. After eight YEARS of building a cast that would allow him to adaptively play not only has Tony’s music taken off (allowing him to play all over the country) but he is also touring speaking to kids with hand/limb-differences and encouraging them to make music a part of their lives.

One thing Tony said that really hit home for me was that difficult times either “distract you or refocus you”. Let us know your thoughts on this episode by finding us on Facebook at Unconventional Leaders.

    • The moment he knew music was what he wanted to do (21:30)
    • What does music do for you? (24:00)

His body slammed into the windshield, launched 10 feet into the air and crashed into the pavement. His back was snapped, his spinal cord severely damaged and his left forearm torn open. It was April 27, 2016, and his life was forever changed.

The following year consisted of intense, full-time physical therapy and rehabilitation at the She
