Tesla Faces Downgrade DUE TO NO Short-Term Catalysts | 7.24.24 OVTLYR Trading Room Jul 26, 2024
    Show notes

In today’s OVTLYR Trading Room session, we kick things off with the latest drama around Tesla. The stock has been facing significant issues lately, adding extra volatility to the market and influencing overall sentiment. Moving on to the market analysis, we break down the current state of SPY and QQQ ETFs using the Golden Ticket Trading Strategy. SPY shows some mixed signals with the 10-day moving average above the 20-day, but the price is below the 50-day. This bearish setup led to a recent exit from positions, which helped avoid losses in a volatile market. We also examine the QQQ, where sell signals from June 21st and June 26th led to a 3.5% drop. This was a timely move that helped sidestep a significant downturn. Market breadth is another key point, with extreme levels indicating potential reversals. This analysis has informed a cautious approach to recent trades. Overall, with the market trending down, it’s wise to hold off on new trades until clearer signals emerge. Keep an eye out for potential opportunities if the bearish trend continues. ChatGPT dominates medical exam | 7.19.24 OVTLYR Trading Room Jul 23, 2024
    Show notes

Welcome to the OVTLYR Trading Room, where smart trading is simplified. Today’s market analysis uses the golden ticket trading strategy to guide decisions. Yesterday’s strategy involved exiting all trades. The SPY closed just above the 20 EMA, the key level for making trading decisions. With the SPY falling about 2.5% and erasing a month’s gains in just three days, it was essential to exit positions and go flat. Recent exits include Zillow (Z) and AFLAC (AFL), which are down, while KB Home (KBH) and Bank of America (BAC) have seen slight increases. Newmont Corporation (NEM) and Agnico Eagle Mines (AEM) are also down. Exiting BAC before further declines and securing some profit on AFL were successful moves. Although Zillow did not perform as expected, overall, the strategy showed strength with six out of seven trades being successful. Looking ahead, if the SPY moves above the 10 EMA, re-entering the market will be considered. Conversely, if it continues to drop, particularly below the 50 EMA, shorting opportunities will be explored. For now, holding cash remains a prudent strategy in this volatile market. Stay tuned for more updates and insights next week. #StockMarket #TradingStrategy #SPY #MarketAnalysis #TradingTips #Investing #StockTrading #OVTLYR #Finance #TradingRoom

Crash Alert! Why Inflation's Dip Sent Stocks Spiraling! Jul 12, 2024
    Show notes

Hey there, traders! Welcome back to the OVTLYR Trading Room! Today, we're diving deep into the wild ride the markets took recently, all sparked by a surprising drop in inflation numbers for June. The Labor Department's latest report caught everyone off guard with inflation cooling down to just 3%, a significant dip that wasn't quite what the market expected. But here's the twist: instead of celebrating lower prices, investors hit the panic button. Stocks across the board plummeted, sending shockwaves through Wall Street and beyond. This sudden sell-off raises big questions about how economic data influences market behavior and what it means for your investments. You've probably noticed little signs of this shift in your own life, like those cheaper meals at McDonald's and Burger King. It's part of a bigger trend where prices seem to be leveling off after a steep climb. This kind of consumer reaction can send ripple effects through the economy, potentially leading to even lower prices—a double-edged sword for both shoppers and investors. Housing, one of the most sensitive sectors to inflation and interest rates, could also see some big changes. High prices and rising rates have already put a damper on homebuyers, and if inflation keeps dropping, we might see some adjustments in the housing market that could shake things up even more. The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) data showed a tiny 0.1% drop in June—a small step that reflects bigger shifts in how we spend our money post-pandemic. But don't just take our word for it—we're diving into charts, crunching numbers, and breaking down what all this means for your wallet and your investments. Whether you're a seasoned trader or just getting started, this video breaks down the nitty-gritty of how inflation impacts everything from your daily purchases to global markets. Join us as we unpack the ups and downs of these economic twists and turns. Hit that like button, subscribe to our channel, and ring the bell to stay in the loop on all our latest insights into economic trends, market moves, and tips to help you make smarter investment decisions.
