PAUL WILLIAMS - DEFINITIVE GUIDE (JACK THE RIPPER INTERVIEWS #7) Jan 01, 2021
    Show notes

In the autumn of 1888, a serial killer known as Jack the Ripper stalked the East End of London. He was never identified, but hundreds of people were accused. Some were known to the authorities at the time, and others were named by later researchers. The truth about them, and the reasons why they came under suspicion, is often lost in a plethora of opinions and misinformation. For the first time, this book presents the evidence against 333 suspects. They include the publican who painted his dog, the first woman sentenced to the electric chair, the writer of the Red Flag, the man with a thousand convictions, Britain’s oldest Prime Minister, and many others. People from all walks of nineteenth century life, representing many different nationalities and professions. United by a link, however tenuous, to the most famous murderer in history.

NEIL STOREY - JACK THE RIPPER'S LONDON (JACK THE RIPPER ) Dec 31, 2020
    Show notes

An investigation of the evidence for links between Dracula and Jack the Ripper, containing original research and previously unpublished and rare materials/illustrations—as well as an evocative exploration of the theater and esoteric scene in 1880s LondonSince its publication in 1897, there have been suggestions that the fictional exploits of Dracula were more closely associated with Jack the Ripper than a Transylvanian Count. Historian Neil Storey provides the first British-based investigation of the sources used by Stoker and paints an evocative portrait of Stoker, his influences, friends, and the London he knew in the late 19th century. Among Stoker's group of friends, however, were dark shadows. Storey explores how Stoker created Dracula out of the climate of fear that surrounded the Jack the Ripper murders in 1888. Add to this potent combination the notion that Stoker may have known Jack the Ripper personally and hidden the clues to this terrible knowledge in his book. The premise is seductive and connects some of the giants of stage and literature of late Victorian Britain. Having gained unprecedented access to the unique archive of one of Stoker's most respected friends and the dedicatee of Dracula, Storey sheds new light on both Stoker and Dracula, and reveals startling new insights into the links between Stoker's creation and the most infamous murderer of all time

TRACY I'ANSON - JACOB THE RIPPER (JACK THE RIPPER) Dec 30, 2020
    Show notes

When playing the game of Name the Ripper, many authors start with a suspect and attempt to make them fit the facts; some can't even be proved to be in London at the time of the murders.

What is required is an ordinary man local to the East End; a man who suffered mental illness, and was known to prowl the streets at night. A man with vast experience of wielding a knife in his place of work, and who had family ties to Wentworth Model Dwellings, where the only clue ever left by the killer - a bloodied portion of apron - was discovered. A man whose admission to a lunatic asylum coincided with the cessaton of the Whitechapel murders.

    A man like Jacob Levy.

Jacob Levy came to the attention of researchers Neil and Tracy I'Anson many years ago. Their continuing research has brought new evidence to light; sifting through hundreds, if not thousands, of pages of information from various research facilities they came across new undiscovered facts that strengthened their theory, and helped piece together the life of Jacob Levy, including the startling fact that their suspect was a first cousin of Joseph Hyam Levy, the witness at Mitre Square who appeared to be shocked when spotting a man with a woman who was later identified as victim Catherine Eddowes; The Evening News reported that "Mr Levy is absolutely obstinate and refuses to give the slightest information and he leaves one to infer that he knows something but that he is afraid to be called on the inquest."

JACOB THE RIPPER goes some way to explaining the movements of the Whitechapel murderer, the graffiti at Goulston Street, the actions of the police, the ‘Lipski’ link, and ultimately what happened to the murderer.

MARY KAY MCBRAYER - AMERICA'S FIRST FEMALE SERIAL KILLER Dec 22, 2020
    Show notes

"In America's First Female Serial Killer, McBrayer offers us a complex--and terrifying--portrait of a killer who seemed almost doomed from birth." --Kate Winkler Dawson, author of American Sherlock: Murder, Forensics, and the Birth of American CSI

#1 Best Seller in History of Ireland

For readers who are fascinated by how serial killers are made. This book is for listeners of true crime podcasts and readers of both fiction and true crime nonfiction. It is for watchers of television shows like Deadly Women and Mindhunter, who are fascinated by how killers are made. It’s for self-conscious feminists, Americans trying to bootstrap themselves into success, and anyone who loves a vigilante beatdown, especially one gone off the rails.

America’s first female serial killer was not always a killer. America’s First Female Serial Killer novelizes the true story of first-generation Irish-American nurse Jane Toppan, born as Honora Kelley. Although all the facts are intact, books about her life and her crimes are all facts and no story. Jane Toppan was absolutely a monster, but she did not start out that way.

ADAM STEVENS - RAINBOW READER Dec 19, 2020
    Show notes

    Rainbow Reader White:

    “Educating Hayden”

The “Rainbow Reader series” has concluded as a specific timeline. I hope you have enjoyed reading Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. This short read series was developed as a prequel to the “Moments in Time” series.

There is an additional publicly unpublished Rainbow Reader titled “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” which Amazon deemed unworthy for print because of its underage sexual self-discovery and evolution of an adventurous young boy, Georgie, and is the prequel to “Red: Awakenings.” If you are interested in reading “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” it is available for purchase on Paperback only. “Pink: The Secret Manuscript” is priced as a Fundraiser for the Homeless Youth Camp.

The sexually seductive stories continue to develop in the Rainbow Reader series as readers continue to comment with questions about characters. This series is no longer specifically about Georgie, nor his particular moments in time. Here is where we begin to spin the story to discover other characters’ lives as they’ve developed along the “Moments In Time” series. Now it’s time to tell the story about their moments in time.

The Rainbow Reader “White: Educating Hayden” is about two young boys Hayden and Ian. Hayden is a big bad bully, and something has to be done about his rampant accosting and abuse of younger, defenseless innocent boys at his school.

Ian was Warren’s first love. Mark was Warren’s second love, and Georgie was the man Warren married for better or for worse. But what ever happened to Ian after that magical summer Warren and Ian discovered each other at the beginning of “Moments in Time: Innocence?” It’s time to find out for yourself.

Ian has a secret. Sure, everyone at school knows he is gay, but there is something else his classmates do not know about him. Ian’s parents barely accept his sexuality as perhaps it is something he will grow out of. Ian has not acted on his sexual urges since his summer of sultry sexual self-discovery with Warren the previous summer.

Hayden doesn’t have a secret. Hayden is just an abusive, obnoxious bully that needs to be knocked back down into reality or submission. But who has the strength and courage at this school to make that happen? If someone hasn’t stepped up and taken that challenge by now, nobody ever will. Yet the teachers and administration make no effort to intervene, Hayden’s dad did build the school library after all.

Settle down, bundle up, and enjoy this tasty short read, but beware of the reality of this fictional sexual adventure. There is the truth behind every lie.

Fiction is a lie, but there is the truth behind every lie.

Georgie’s 30-year journey spans the entire Rainbow Reader series and can be read in any order. However, for readers interested in following the timeline in complete continuity, the proper reading order for the series begins with the unpublished, “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” and continues directly into “Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.”

    Show notes

1881—Special Agent Gillian Hamilton, magic caster for the Federal Bureau of Magic and Steam, has recovered from injuries obtained while in Shallow Grave, Arizona. Now back in New York City, Gillian makes an arrest on New Year’s Eve that leads to information on a new gangster, known only as Tick Tock, who’s perfected utilizing elemental magic in ammunition without a caster. This report complicates Gillian’s holiday plans, specifically those with infamous outlaw, Gunner the Deadly, who promised they’d ring in 1882 together.

The two men stand on the cusp of a romance that needs to be explored intimately and privately. But when Gillian’s residence is broken into, by a magical mechanical man who tries to murder him on behalf of Tick Tock, they must immediately investigate the city’s ruthless street gangs before the illegal magic becomes a threat that cannot be contained.

This might be Gillian’s most perilous case yet, but criminal undergrounds don’t compare to the dangers of the heart. If he can’t balance a career in law enforcement with his love for a vigilante, Gillian may lose both entirely.
