Simon Dunmore is famed as the Founder of seminal House music label Defected Records. With a keen ear for good music, Simon's career had already seen him succeed as a DJ and record promoter, however it was his unwavering passion for House music that helped him launch Defected in 1999 and transform the label into a globally recognised brand that has been pivotal in shaping the scene as we know it today. Having moved on from the label in 2022, we caught Simon in a reflective mood, eager to tell us about his journey so far and hint at what exciting plans he might have for the future.

Steve Bug is a DJ and producer that has been electrifying dancefloors across the world since the early 90s with his signature sound that seamlessly integrates influences from across the entire spectrum of electronic music. A man that has been described by Resident Advisor as the "gentlemen of Techno," Steve is the mastermind behind the hugely influential label Poker Flat Recordings, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In our conversation, Steve tells us about his humble beginnings in Bremen, his meteoric rise to fame and how he has kept his label at the cutting edge of dance music for a quarter of a century.

Beyond the decks wAFF is also a dedicated community activist, rolling up his sleeves to contribute to meaningful projects in South America. GIDEÖN is a DJ, artist, label owner and activist who is as comfortable behind the decks at some of the world's most underground clubs as he is in a muddy field in Somerset orchestrating NYC Downlow (Glastonbury’s first dedicated queer space). Whilst at university, his involvement with the free party scene led him to buy a 55 seater coach to house his huge sound system and, after stints living onboard said coach and in the US, GIDEÖN now resides in his birthplace of South London where he can often be found digging through his incredible vinyl selection to identify secret weapons to play to passionate crowds either in the club environment or at huge demonstrations that require a discerning soundtrack.

Mr. C is a true icon of the electronic music scene. As frontman for The Shamen, his cheeky persona and mischievous lyrics propelled the band to chart topping glory with the anthemic 'Ebeneezer Goode.' A true devotee of the underground, he co-founded legendary London nightclub The End which regularly hosted nights from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Andy C, Steve Lawler and Sven Väth. Having recently scaled back his involvement with his wildly successful Superfreq brand of parties, he now shifts his focus to self-expression as an artist, eager to explore how emerging technology can elevate his DJ performances to even greater heights.
