    Show notes

Terry Farley is one of the founding fathers of the UK House music scene. Growing up as a Soulboy in West London and Slough in the 70s, Terry always had a passion for music and youth culture. Pouring this knowledge into early editions of the Boy's Own fanzine he ran, Terry found himself in possession of the perfect platform to commentate on the Acid House scene when this first blew up in 1988 and further expanded the brand across a record label as well as a series of legendary parties. Whether it's from behind the decks or from inside the studio, Terry has always been at the forefront of the many changes within the scene and in this episode is happy to discuss his long and varied career.

    Show notes

Nick Muir is a titan of the Progressive House genre and is one half of Bedrock (alongside John Digweed). Classically trained from a young age, Nick played in a variety of bands as well as featured as a session musician for many well known artists before he discovered dance music. Already tinkering in the studio with the early sequencer technology of the era, Nick was in the right place at the right time to hook up with John Digweed and create some of the defining music of the Progressive House scene - an ability that continues to this day. In this episode we chat about all of the above as well as what it's like to have your music featured in an iconic 90s film, the differences between being a DJ and a producer, and the key to maintaining one of the most prolific partnerships in dance music.

    007: Greg Wilson Sep 03, 2019
    Show notes

Greg Wilson is an absolute legend on the DJ scene. The first person to mix two records together live on television, as well as the person that introduced Electro to the UK, he has been a DJ and record collector since his school days. Building his reputation as a seamless mixer at clubs in the North of the UK in the late 70's and early 80's, Greg even landed himself a residency at a pre-Acid House era Hacienda. Hanging up his headphones at the height of his fame aged 23, Greg made the most triumphant of DJ comebacks in 2003 and has been touring the world playing his eclectic blend of funky beats to club and festival crowds ever since. Just like one of his sets, this is an epic one, but totally worth the journey.
