The Cash-Landrum UFO Attack | Dark Mysteries Nov 21, 2025

On Dec. 29, 1980, Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum, and her grandson Colby encountered a blazing diamond-shaped UFO hovering over a Texas road, spewing flames and intense heat. Surrounded by 23 military helicopters, the object left after 15 minutes. All three suffered severe radiation-like burns, vomiting, hair loss, and long-term illness. They sued the U.S. government, alleging a secret craft, but lost in 1986 due to lack of evidence. The Cash-Landrum case remains one of ufology’s most compelling and physically damaging close encounters.

Incorporated in 1813, the city is known for both its midwestern industrial roots as well as its small town charm. But beneath that charm is a darker side; a haunted side. From the midland theater to the Cedar Hill Cemetery - two locations reputed to be so haunted that the mere mention of them causes locals to go weeks without sleep. The Gurdon Light | Gurdon, AR Oct 24, 2025

Nestled in the shadowy pine woods of Gurdon, Arkansas, the Gurdon Light has haunted the imagination of locals and thrill-seekers for nearly a century. First spotted in the 1930s along abandoned railroad tracks, this eerie orb—glowing white, blue, orange, or green—floats and sways like a lantern bobbing on an invisible cord, sometimes swelling to the size of a basketball before vanishing into the night.

Legend ties it to tragedy: In 1931, railroad foreman William McClain was brutally murdered with a spike maul by coworker Louis McBride during a heated brawl. McBride was executed months later, but McClain's headless ghost, they say, still roams with his lantern, desperately searching for his lost head. Some whisper of a decapitated brakeman from an earlier train mishap, his severed spirit doomed to wander eternally.
