HL3 The Final Dimension - Episode 1 Feb 20, 2018

Show notes

Join the Rewatchers as they kick off their exciting coverage of Highlander III: The Final Dimension (Scottish Fighter III? the Sorcerer?). After Connor MacLeod brakes the fourth wall to leave Scotland behind for the mystical mountains of Japan, he must learn to respect the power illusion (which is to say, learn nothing) to take on the cartoonishly evil Kane and prevent Kane from ushering in an age of darkness and nipple rings (but mostly nipple rings). The Rewatchers run through the endless titles to this movie, learn a super special move--- grabbing your enemy's sword with a camera filter--- by playing fruit ninja, and bid an abrupt farewell to the cackling severed head of Mako.

Adrian Tapes - 2 - The Hunters (Side A) Feb 13, 2018

Show notes

The legend continues as the Rewatchers dust off another old cassette to bring you another behind the scenes look from Adrian Paul about the Season 1 Finale, the Hunters. Hear the Highlander describe the hectic process of rewriting the script, ADR-ing the emotional climax, and hulking out as Duncan.

Bonus Episode 3-9 Season 1-3 Wrap Up Feb 06, 2018

Show notes

Celebrate the end of Season 3 by counting down the best and worst of the first three seasons! Tune in to hear some sweet sweet listicles, play a few heated games, and witness a slow motion train wreck when when the Rewatchers turn the show into a drinking game.

3-22 Finale (Part 2) Jan 30, 2018

Show notes

The Kalas Cycle comes to a thrilling conclusion when Kalas threatens to expose immortals to the world if Mac doesn’t serve up his own head on a silver platter (or, you know, rely on a stroke of good luck to make everything work out just fine in the end). The Rewatchers try to figure out how a quickening can blow up an underground computer disc, unpack Amanda’s apparent stay in a harem, and pour one out for the uzi-wielding hero of legend: Vemas.

3-21 Finale (Part 1) Jan 23, 2018

Show notes

After Amanda busts Kalas out of prison with a grappling hook crossbow in an ill-fated attempt to take his head, Duncan must stop Kalas from kidnapping his friends while simultaneously preventing the buddy-cop duo of Joe and Methos from killing an innocent woman who wants to out the Watchers to a newspaper. The Rewatchers admire Kalas's form on an amazing golf swing/beheading, wish Mac would stop Mac-splaining danger to Amanda, and write the world's least salacious fan fiction about Kalas: Jazz Club Manager.

3-20 Reasonable Doubt Jan 09, 2018

Show notes

Maurice's horribly tragic prostitute niece falls in with immortal art thief (and Supreme Court Justice, Elena) Kagan, a murderous twit that tries to guilt Mac with the story of his rough upbringing at the hands of Tarsus, Kagan's twisted mustachioed mentor. The Rewatchers discuss the lack of reasonable doubts in this episode (and the moral quandaries that could have been), get the heebie-jeebies from Maurice's relationship with his niece, and chatter more than anyone should about insurance.

3-19 Mortal Sins Jan 02, 2018

Show notes

When an immortal Nazi wakes up after forty plus years of drowning, compliments of Father Bernie (Sanders) and a group of French freedom fighters, Mac must prevent the ageless war criminal from exacting revenge on the old priest by karate fighting white-supremacists goons. The Rewatchers discuss Mac's surprisingly relaxed attitude toward neo-Nazis (seriously Mac, wreck this clown), wish a tearful/relieved (for her) farewell to Anne, and debate (yet again) how the he(ck) holy ground works.

Adrian Tapes - 1 - Ad Libs (Side B) Dec 26, 2017

Show notes

Unwrap your cassette player, because the Rewatchers are bringing you another of the fabled Adrian Tapes for Christmas, all about the role of ad libs in the first season! Tune in to hear the Highlander himself discuss a surprise kiss on the mouth from a salty Russian, screams about where Mac comes from, and the story of Richie's first time playing with swords like a big boy.

Bonus Episode 3-8 A Christmas Carol Dec 19, 2017

Show notes

When the Rewatchers get down in the dumps focusing on the stats of their (amazing) listenership, Christopher Lambert drops by with his worst friends to perform an absurd rendition of a Christmas Carol to (somehow) open their Scrooge-like hearts to the true meaning of podcasting. The Rewatchers learn the beauty of consent from iconic rapper/foley artist Ice-T, party with Brob Cratchet's family, and join into a truly... unique, sing along.
