Recap and Reddit Info: The Valley - Episode 2 Apr 01, 2024

Show notes

A brief sleuth session into a few cast members and possible outcomes of the toxic aura hovering over The Valley before a recap where we watch Jax be a horrible friend to Kristin and learn that Britney will stand by her man-child no matter what. The repercussions of nipple tweaking continue to be felt (pun intended), not even a relaxing girl's night is safe from drama that stresses new mom Nia, and Luke's initiation to fit in with da boyz isn't going well.

Bravo News, the Hermes Lawsuit, and a Movie Review: Roadhouse Remake Mar 25, 2024

Show notes

We celebrate the 18year anniversary of Real Housewives origins in Orange County, bringing us Skye tops and a family van that forever changed the trajectory of reality tv and lead us to current Bravo events; whether 8.5 Anne should have been given a second chance (with a special message from my friend Kiki @thetalkofshame to present a differing perspective), Kim Z's attempts to resell designer items as new, and watching as Kyle and Mauricio shift their ongoing issues to his show. Then, a review of the Hermes lawsuit filed this week by people denied the opportunity to purchase Birkin bags, including an enlightening look into their commission structure, before delving into the Roadhouse remake with Jake Gyllenhaal and how it measures up to the 1989 cult classic with Patrick Swayze.

Recap of Bravo's "Bet It All on Blonde" Documentary - Part 2 of 2 Mar 21, 2024

Show notes

The NSFW finale of the Erika Jayne Vegas residency documentary focuses on high stakes drama of lackadaisical gyrating just prior to the show's opening night at House of Blues. We learn a variety of fun facts, from Erika's reiterated belief that Tom is suffering from cognitive decline, to her team's stance that their true opinions of her performance can't be caught on camera, to Mikey's singular vision of what a lady amidst pleasure looks like. Between ego, delusion, contrived drama, and donuts, this documentary had it all.

Thanks to the good people of Reddit and online comment boards, we quote reviews from Bravo fans and alleged attendees of the Vegas show.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: Reunion/The Kyle Show Part 3 Mar 14, 2024

Show notes

The last episode of the three part reunion that viewers hoped would bring accountability and clarity to issues from the season. Sutton's medical emergency takes her and Garcelle off the couches, leaving the main focus on Kyle and Kathy. The frustrating episode is primarily a walk down the memory lane of Kyle's life via footage. While emotions run high, they do not clear up any murky topics.

Recap of Bravo's "Bet It All on Blonde" Documentary - Part 1 of 2 Mar 11, 2024

Show notes

A recap of the pussy pattin' propaganda documentary of Erika Girardi's "comeback" as Erika Jayne via a Vegas residency at the House of Blues in August 2023. We watch low impact dance rehearsals and witness her fond memories of Tom, whom she still seems to enjoy describing at his professional peak. We hear her reminisce about her old life of obscene wealth and spending before lamenting her Vegas show's current budget and trying in vain to secure $100k more. Denied by the showrunner for already being over budget, and failing to get a personal loan, our heroine must overcome the odds...and the show must go on.

This recap is of the first half of the 2-hour special, due to fatigue. The second half will be posted separately.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: Reunion Part 2 "The Kyle Show" Mar 07, 2024

Show notes

First, we hit a few Bravo hot topics, then we recap The Kyle Show/Beverly Hills Reunion that summarizes all the stale beef, 2022 tiffs, and dodged accountability that Kyle storyboarded for our enjoyment. Interrupting that flow is Sutton's attempt to point out Kyle's ongoing damaging accusations against her, Dorit's stance that so much changed in Kyle's life that questioning it was warranted, and the episode ends with Kathy emerging bc of course there are guests on The Kyle Show.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Reunion Part 1 Recap Mar 04, 2024

Show notes

A rundown of current Bravo lawsuits before a stroll through the first of three RHOBH reunion segments that focuses on debuting fashionable looks, rehashing storylines, and teeing up issues between Dorit and Kyle, and 8.5 Anne and almost everyone. Between Dorit's "wait, lemme take a selfie" delay, Kyle's revelations about her upbringing, insights and apologies from 8.5 Anne, and Crystal clocking-in, it was a packed episode. This recap is of the uncensored and unedited version shared on Peacock.

Deep Dive: Marco Marco Lawsuit, "F*ck Chris" Feb 29, 2024

Show notes

A rundown of the 2016 Secret Service led prosecution of Chris Psaila, half of the celebrated L.A. design house, Marco Marco, after Erika Girardi's allegations of $787, 117.88 worth of fraudulent charges on an AMEX card Tom paid but had begun to object to, with Volkswagen asking, "Now why am I in it?"

A review of Chris' 2023 lawsuit allegations that Erika's longtime choreographer Mikey Minden, assistant Laia, and an AMEX representative/investigator also played a role in maliciously prosecuting him, plus a description of his receipts filled with texts, sketches, and images supporting legitimate charges for goods and services that challenge his now dismissed indictment that could have resulted in over 150 years in prison. Just this month, Erika lost an attempt to dismiss his lawsuit and a Secret Service buddy of Tom's filed to remove himself from this narrative. After listening to this pod, you'll understand why.

Content discussed and reviewed is pulled directly from lawsuit filings, L.A. Times articles, statements made on the Housewife and Hustler HULU documentaries, and a generic legal definition of anti-SLAPP laws. Information shared may be paraphrased and is sourced from news articles, legal documents, publicly available research, and/or direct testimony, statements, and quotes.

RHOBH Finale Recap: White Parties and Revelations Feb 22, 2024

Show notes

The well coddled gang wraps up a season of medical gaslighting, failed redemption arcs, and marriage issues with one of Kyle's classic white parties. Erika performs and is apparently under the belief that she sold out a stadium, Sutton shares words of advice with her daughter over jewelry, and Dorit expresses concern about her relationship before the episode focuses solely on Kyle, Mo and their family reacting to a press leak about a separation. Kyle shares new information that seems to contradict comments she made earlier in the episode. Farewell Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Season 13.
