Richard Allen's Doctor Found Him Like This and the State Fought to Keep Him There Sep 30, 2026
    Show notes

Defense attorney Bob Motta joins me for the part of Richard Allen's Delphi murders appeal that everything else depends on: the cell that produced the confessions. Allen's appeal was argued at the Indiana Court of Appeals on September 21, 2026, and his lawyer opened with what the prison's own psychiatrist saw on April 14, 2023.

Allen's trial lawyers filed an emergency request on April 5, 2023, to get him out of Westville, writing that his conditions were like a prisoner of war's. Nine days later, according to Mark Leeman, the state filed its response, the psychiatrist walked into the cell and found Allen unable to communicate and covered in filth, and Judge Frances Gull denied the request without a hearing. The psychiatrist's own order put the onset of the breakdown at April 4 and started forced antipsychotic injections.

Leeman's argument is that this is what coercion looks like when there's no interrogation room: a state that watches a man decompensate and argues to keep him in place. The state's argument is that Westville held him because a jail could not protect a man accused of killing two girls, that the unit's conditions were ordinary, and that Indiana courts have never called ordinary custody coercion.

We talk through why Indiana puts the burden on the state to prove a confession was voluntary, and why Leeman says Judge Gull flipped that burden twice in her order. The judges kept asking one question: with no detective in the room, who exactly coerced Richard Allen?

Allen has been serving 130 years since December 2024 for the murders of Abby Williams and Libby German. Three appellate judges are deciding whether the statements that convicted him should ever have reached a jury.

Inside Both of Caleb Flynn's Interrogations After Ashley Was Shot Sep 30, 2026
    Show notes

Two interrogations on the same morning. Nine clips played back for the audience. Three segments covering every dimension of how Caleb Flynn sat in that room — what he brought, what the detective deployed, and where the story cracked. Retired FBI behavioral expert Robin Dreeke reads every moment.

The performance: a phone wiped clean, a marriage described as problem-free, two strangers offered as suspects, and a church referenced as proof of character — the church where prosecutors allege the affair happened. The detective's game: Morgan closed every exit with evidence Caleb didn't know they had — the door forced from the inside, the shooter placed at the foot of the bed, the neighbor who'd already talked. The cracks: an accusation nobody made, a timeline that shrank under questioning, and a gun that disappeared from a truck console only the family knew about.

Tony and Robin break down the craft and the collapse across all three segments.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He is presumed innocent.

Caleb Flynn Blurted Out WHAT Before Anyone Accused Him?! Sep 29, 2026
    Show notes

Robin Dreeke spent decades in the FBI watching people crack in rooms like this. He says the confession is not the moment — the cracks are. A number that changes. An answer nobody asked for. A fact that closes the circle.

In Part 3 of the interrogation breakdown, Tony and Robin play three clips from the moments Caleb Flynn's story fell apart. The unprompted accusation — it feels like you guys are pointing it to me — when the detective was talking about paperwork. The timeline that went from two to five minutes down to five seconds when Morgan played it back. And the missing gun — Caleb's own handgun in his own truck, console open, gun gone, never recovered, known only to his children and his wife.

Robin reads each moment in real time: what the detective was watching for, what the behavioral shift means, and why these three cracks told Morgan everything the story itself had been hiding.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges including aggravated murder. He is presumed innocent.

What Detective Morgan Already Knew Before Caleb Flynn Sat Down Sep 29, 2026
    Show notes

Detective Mike Morgan walked Caleb Flynn through the evidence from the crime scene in their second interview. It sounded like he was giving a grieving husband updates. Robin Dreeke, retired FBI, says that is not what was happening. Morgan was deploying evidence and watching what Caleb did when each exit closed.

Three clips, three moves. The garage side door was damaged but never latched — forced open from the inside, not the outside. The blood pattern in the bedroom put the shooter at the foot of the bed, standing exactly where Caleb said he stood when he went to check on Ashley. And when Caleb told Morgan to ask any neighbor whether they'd argued, Morgan told him they already had.

Tony and Robin play each clip and break down the interrogation craft — what Morgan was actually testing with each reveal and what Caleb's flat responses told him. A detective knows what it means when a suspect agrees with evidence that should disturb an innocent person.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and all related charges. He is presumed innocent.

Caleb Flynn Deleted Every Text Before He Walked Into This Room Sep 29, 2026
    Show notes

Caleb Flynn told Detective Mike Morgan his marriage was perfect. He said he deletes texts because his wife sends too many pictures. He brought two strangers to the table as suspects before the detective asked for one. He said they go to church. Retired FBI behavioral expert Robin Dreeke watched every second of these clips — and what he sees in that chair tells a different story than the one Caleb Flynn was selling.

In Part 1 of the full interrogation breakdown, Tony and Robin play three clips from the February 16 police interview. They dissect what Caleb Flynn had pre-loaded before he walked through the door. According to prosecutors, his phone allegedly held more than a hundred thousand messages with a twenty-four-year-old worship singer from his own church. Prosecutors allege those messages included threats against Ashley and a text sent hours before the interview: I choose you, I'm free, actions will come tomorrow.

Robin reads the behavioral indicators the detective was already seeing — what over-denial looks like and what it means when someone explains missing evidence before the detective knows it's missing. A pre-built story tells an investigator everything about the person telling it.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges including aggravated murder. He is presumed innocent.

Caleb Flynn's Mistress Told Him to Be Careful Doing WHAT?! Sep 29, 2026
    Show notes

Hidden Killers Live, the full Botner panel in one sitting. The clip that holds it together is from September 2, 2025: Caleb Flynn tells Alleigha Botner what he's going to do while Ashley is asleep, and she tells him to be careful and asks what his excuse will be. Five months later Ashley Flynn was shot in her sleep.

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer, both retired FBI, with me live for nine clips. Part one, his: "hire someone," "please take her out," "ways to kill her and not go to jail." Part two, hers: the July 10 message she says she didn't mean, the phone plan, "time is ticking." Part three, the cross: her Google searches in the days after the murder, "I don't think he could ever be capable," and the close, where police never searched, swabbed, printed, or charged her, and never offered a deal.

Caleb Flynn is charged with aggravated murder in Tipp City, Ohio. Prosecutors say he staged a break-in. He says an intruder did it. Two days of the state's own witness, and the chat gets to decide who she hurt more.

Bryan Kohberger's Own Lawyers Said He Couldn't Do THIS Sep 28, 2026
    Show notes

Bryan Kohberger's guilty plea in the Idaho student murders looked final in July 2025. A memo unsealed on September 22, 2026 has his new lawyer arguing otherwise. The sealed May 20, 2025 filing from his original team, led by Anne Taylor, told Judge Steven Hippler that Kohberger was having trouble processing the rulings going against him and weighing his options, including whether to take a deal. The same lawyers stated that they were not claiming he was incompetent. Hippler denied their request for more time on June 26, 2025. Kohberger pleaded guilty on July 2. Greg Rauch now calls that six-day gap a central issue, and a hearing on his motion to remove Hippler is set for October 15, 2026. Prosecutors are leaning on the plea transcript, where Kohberger said he understood. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, tells me whether a former criminology PhD student can argue he didn't understand.

What Caleb Flynn's Mistress Typed Into Google After the Murder Sep 28, 2026
    Show notes

Hidden Killers Live, part three, and the defense finally got its turn with Alleigha Botner. The first thing Emily Smith asked about was Google. What Caleb Flynn's mistress searched for in the three days after Ashley Flynn died, read back to her line by line, and confirmed.

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer, both retired FBI, join me live for three clips from the cross. The searches. The exchange where the state's witness says she never believed Caleb "could ever be capable of doing something like that." And the closing run: she suspected him, went to Ashley's parents' house anyway so she wouldn't "look suspicious," told no one, and was never searched, never swabbed, never charged.

Caleb Flynn is charged with aggravated murder in the February 16, 2026 shooting of his wife in Tipp City. Prosecutors say he staged a break-in. The defense says police never looked past the husband. Tonight the chat gets to ask the question the panel can't dodge: did investigators clear her, or skip her?

Caleb Flynn's Mistress Admitted WHAT on the Stand?! Sep 28, 2026
    Show notes

Live on Hidden Killers, part two of our panel on Alleigha Botner, and this one is about her. On the stand in the Caleb Flynn trial she read a message she sent about Ashley Flynn on July 10, 2025, told the jury she didn't mean it, and then confirmed she wrote it. Caleb's answer was "that makes two of us."

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer, both retired FBI, are with me for three clips. The July 10 thread. A September 2 conversation about whether Ashley still had photos of their messages, in which Caleb offers to check his wife's phone while she's asleep and Botner tells him to be careful, asks what his excuse will be, and says "Perfect." And her August 22 reply to his 4 a.m. message, "I'm not asking that you take her life, obviously," which ends with "her or me" and "time is ticking."

Prosecutors say Caleb shot Ashley twice in the head on February 16, 2026 and staged a break-in. On cross, Botner said she has no charges and no promises from the state. The chat is going to split on her, and that's the point. Bring it.

Caleb Flynn Told His Mistress to Hire WHO?! Sep 28, 2026
    Show notes

Hidden Killers Live, and the Caleb Flynn trial just handed us the most direct message a jury has heard yet. On June 12, 2025, Caleb Flynn told Alleigha Botner who he wanted her to hire, and what for. She read it to the jury herself. Then she read her reply.

Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer, both retired FBI, join me live for three clips from her testimony. The June 12 thread that ends with "I've never joked about it." The July 4 exchange: "please take her out," "not even for a second," "praise God." And the August 22 message where he says he spent the night thinking of ways to kill his wife without going to jail, then tells her he's been sitting outside her workplace crying.

Ashley Flynn was shot in her sleep on February 16, 2026. Prosecutors say her husband did it and staged a break-in. He says an intruder got in. Between those two stories sit 107,000 messages, and these are the three the panel thinks matter most.

Bring your questions. This is live, and the chat is part of it. Then stick around for part two, where the defense's version of Alleigha Botner starts to show.
