Is Sony's Spider-Man Universe Getting Ahead Of Itself?

Sony updated the plans for its Spider-Man cinematic universe, and we're...confused. We also review the highlights of the 'Deadpool 2' Super Duper Cut, try to limit ourselves to just five minutes of James Gunn talk in a new segment, and discuss what that new Oscar category could mean for comic book movies (and other genre films). Plus, DC's making a Supergirl movie and we discuss what actually happened with Donald Glover's animated Deadpool series. It's a lot, but this is one chat you don't want to miss.

Does Anyone Actually Want A Jared Leto Joker Movie?

A lot of exciting superhero (and super villain) movie news dropped this week, but luckily our hosts Eric and Adrienne are here to break it all down. Items on the agenda include why we're SO excited for "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse," and important "Wonder Woman 2" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" updates. But mainly, we just need to ask...does anyone actually want a Jared Leto Joker movie? We have some thoughts.

If you weren't aware, Spider-Man is getting his first animated big screen adventure this December when 'Into The Spider-Verse' opens in theaters. The visually stunning trailer went live this week, and if you're not excited for it...you will be after listening to this podcast. Also we need Spider-Ham to be in this movie. In other news, DC announced it's 100000000000th new project, a solo Jared Leto Joker movie. Do people actually want this?? What about the other numerous Joker projects that have been announced? What does this mean about the future of the DCEU? It's a lot. On a higher note, new info on "Wonder Woman 2" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" broke this week, so we'll let you know what's going on with both highly anticipated sequels. Drop us a review and let us know your feedback!
