A Prayer for Rest in a World of Hustle: Immersive Prayer Series: Daily Bible Study, Daily Devotionals

In this conversation, Rachael Groll explores the theme of finding stillness and rest in faith, contrasting the pressures of performance with the invitation to simply be present with Jesus. Through the story of Mary and Martha, she emphasizes the importance of choosing stillness over striving and highlights the value of being seen and received by God. The discussion culminates in an invitation to deeper connection through Bible Study Live, where participants can experience the peace of being fully loved by God.

    Takeaways:

Many of us feel the pressure to perform in our faith.

Mary chose to be present with Jesus, while Martha was distracted.

Jesus gently redirects Martha, emphasizing the importance of stillness.

Jesus values our presence and calls it good.

The invitation to deeper connection with God is always available.

Bible Study Live offers a space to pause and connect with scripture.
