We Cannot Trust American Media Mar 08, 2026
    Show notes

Hawk examines the recent suppression of a Department of Homeland Security and FBI intelligence memo intended for state and local law enforcement regarding increased domestic threat levels. This five page document warned of potential Iranian proxy or sleeper cell activity within the United States following the initiation of war on February 28th. A separate classified report from the National Intelligence Council suggests that even a large scale military campaign would likely fail to oust the clerical and military establishment in Iran. Despite reports of significant missile and drone strikes hitting Tel Aviv and U.S. military bases in the region, mainstream American media outlets remain largely silent on these developments.

This lack of coverage coincides with major media organizations and social media platforms paying millions to Donald Trump to settle various legal disputes. The ownership of major news outlets by billionaires and individuals with specific geopolitical interests has led to a climate of self-censorship and a failure to provide a complete picture of the conflict. This behavior reflects a concerning trend of obeying in advance to avoid conflict with the current administration.

Russia Is Helping Iran Kill American Troops and Trump Won't Say a Word Mar 07, 2026
    Show notes

A Washington Post exclusive reveals Russia has been supplying Iran with targeting intelligence on US military assets, including the locations of American warships and aircraft operating throughout the Middle East. Three anonymous officials familiar with the intelligence confirmed Russia began passing this information to Iran shortly after the war started, effectively neutralizing early US and Israeli strikes that had specifically targeted Iranian radar and air defense systems designed to locate American forces.

Six US troops have been killed and others wounded by Iranian drone attacks, with Iran having launched thousands of one-way attack drones and hundreds of missiles at US military positions, embassies, and civilians. The joint American-Israeli campaign has struck over 2,000 Iranian targets including ballistic missile sites and naval assets. Despite this, Iranian forces continue hitting precise targets, which analysts say is itself evidence of Russian intelligence support filling the void left by destroyed Iranian tracking capabilities. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth this week said Russia and China were "not really a factor" in the conflict, a claim this reporting directly contradicts. Russia's Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment.

China, meanwhile, appears to be watching from the sidelines while strengthening economic relationships globally. Hawk connects the dots on Trump's longstanding deference to Vladimir Putin, his 2018 Helsinki comments trusting Putin over US intelligence agencies, and the uncomfortable political position now facing Republican lawmakers asked to condemn Russia while American soldiers are dying.

A Federal Judge Just Declared ICE Masked Agents Unconstitutional Mar 05, 2026
    Show notes

A federal judge in the Southern District of West Virginia issued a ruling that should be making national headlines but isn't. Hawk walks through the full 34-page opinion by U.S. District Judge Joseph Godwin, who found that ICE agents wearing masks, operating from unmarked vehicles with no license plates, and making warrantless civil arrests violate the Fourth and Fifth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.

The case centers on Anderson Jesus Urquilla Ramos, a 21-year-old Salvadoran national with a valid driver's license, lawful work authorization, and a pending asylum application, who was pulled over in West Virginia on a pretext stop. Masked federal agents in an unmarked vehicle with no license plate detained him without a warrant, without identifying themselves, and without legal justification.

Judge Godwin's opinion traces the Fourth Amendment back to its founding-era roots, the colonial outrage over British general warrants and writs of assistance, and applies that history directly to modern ICE enforcement tactics. The ruling draws on James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Justice Brandeis, and citations ranging from Marbury v. Madison to Katz v. United States.

The opinion concludes that a law enforcement practice whose only operational effect is the elimination of accountability is not a safety measure. It is a constitutional deficiency. Hawk also highlights the Fifth Amendment due process violations and the habeas corpus petition that brought the case before the court. This is Fourth Amendment education at its finest, delivered through one of the most clearly reasoned federal opinions in recent memory.

Hawk Discusses the IRAN WAR with ANGRY MALE VET Mar 04, 2026
    Show notes

Please Follow Angry Male Vet Here:
    SubStack: https://angrymalevet.substack.com/
    YouTube: @AngryMaleVet
    TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/discover/angry-male-vet

Hawk and Angry Male Vet cut through the noise on the U.S. war with Iran, four days in and already without a clear objective, an exit strategy, or a definition of what victory even looks like. The conversation covers how Netanyahu and Trump pushed the U.S. into military conflict with Iran while Gulf allies opened their airspace and stayed out of offensive operations entirely. Rubio's admission that the U.S. knew Iran strikes were coming and did nothing to stop them draws sharp scrutiny from a combat veteran's perspective.

The discussion covers the depletion of U.S. and Israeli interceptor missiles, Iran's deliberate strategy of using cheap drones and missiles to drain stockpiles, and what happens when the Iron Dome starts running out of ammunition. The purging of senior military leadership, including the firing of Iran cyber experts by Kash Patel just 36 hours before the war began, raises serious questions about institutional knowledge inside the Pentagon and FBI.

Pete Hegseth's performance as Defense Secretary, Dan Cain's appointment as Joint Chiefs Chairman over 43 active generals, and Tim Pool's presence at Pentagon briefings paint a picture of an administration running on perceived loyalty rather than competence. The AIPAC money trail, the Tom Malinowski primary story, and Mark Kelly's shifting position on the war powers resolution expose how a foreign lobbying organization controls votes in both parties. The call to action is clear: contact representatives, reject AIPAC money, support the March 28th No Kings protest, and register voters for 2026.

Authoritarian Theocracy in Iran, Afghanistan and Here In The US Mar 04, 2026
    Show notes

The death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at the hands of the United States marks the end of nearly four decades of authoritarian theocracy in Iran. Hawk reads and analyzes a piece from The Atlantic by Karim Sadjadpour examining Khamenei's life, his ruthless consolidation of power through the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and how the Islamic Republic of Iran was built on three ideological pillars: death to America, death to Israel, and the forced covering of women.

Drawing direct parallels to the Taliban in Afghanistan, Hawk walks through the Taliban's systematic oppression of women since retaking power in 2021, from banning girls from school after age 12 to prohibiting women from appearing in public without a burka. The comparison extends to white Christian nationalism, Project 2025, and the Heritage Foundation, examining how fundamentalist religion across Islam, Christianity, and other faiths has long been weaponized by insecure men to control and silence women and girls.

The IRGC's role as Khamenei's political and economic power base mirrors how Trump has used loyal institutions to consolidate control. Eric Hoffer's observation that mass movements require belief in a devil, not God, applies as much to MAGA's targeting of immigrants, trans people, and the left as it did to Khamenei's America.

The Iranian government's killing of 7,000 to 10,000 protesters over economic grievances, while spending on proxy wars instead of healthcare, parallels Republican cuts to Medicaid and SNAP alongside a $200 billion ICE budget. Khamenei lived by death to America and death to Israel. Those are exactly the forces that killed him.

Kash Patel and Pam Bondi have Crippled National Security Mar 03, 2026
    Show notes

The current state of national security is under scrutiny as the Department of Justice and FBI face significant internal changes. Kash Patel and Pam Bondi are overseeing a systematic removal of experienced personnel, specifically targeting those involved in previous high profile investigations. This purge has resulted in the loss of elite agents within the CI12 unit who possess critical expertise regarding Iran and global espionage. The timing of these firings is particularly concerning given the recent escalation of military conflict and the launch of Operation Epic Fury.

While conventional military strikes dominate the news, the silent threat of cyber warfare looms. Iran is recognized for its advanced cyber capabilities, often retaliating through malware and intrusions into critical infrastructure like water systems and energy networks. The loss of institutional memory and veteran leadership, including figures like Steve Jensen and Brian Driscoll, leaves domestic defenses in a state of disarray. Loyalty tests and political questionnaires have replaced professional merit, leading to a decline in morale and a potential breakdown in intelligence sharing with international allies.

Google’s threat intelligence experts warn that global cyber attacks are inevitable. As the FBI’s foreign influence task force is disbanded and leadership roles remain vacant, the ability to connect the dots and prevent future incidents is severely compromised. The focus on personal retribution over national safety has created a vulnerable attack surface, leaving the country exposed during a period of intense Middle East volatility.

The Historical Arc of US - Iran Relations Mar 03, 2026
    Show notes

Hawk breaks down the full arc of US-Iran relations, from the cordial diplomatic ties of the 1720s all the way to the current war that Secretary of State Marco Rubio openly admitted was triggered by Israel. Starting with Persia's constitutional revolution, American economic advisors in the 1920s, and the cordial relations that held through World War II, the story takes a sharp turn in 1953 when the CIA and British intelligence MI6 orchestrated a coup overthrowing Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddegh, who had nationalized the country's oil industry. The US then reinstalled the Shah of Iran and helped build his brutal secret police force SAVAK, and in a stunning irony, it was President Dwight D. Eisenhower who launched Iran's nuclear program and provided the country's first nuclear reactor and enriched uranium in 1967.

The 1979 Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini, the 444-day hostage crisis, the Iran-Iraq War, Reagan's support for Saddam Hussein, Hezbollah, the Iran-Contra affair, the JCPOA under Obama, Trump pulling out of the nuclear deal, and the killing of General Qassem Soleimani all connect in a straight line to the current US-Iran war. Marco Rubio told congressional leaders that the US entered the war preemptively because Israel was going to attack Iran, and Iran would have retaliated against American forces. Rubio's admission drew reaction from Congressman Joaquin Castro and even conservative commentator Matt Walsh, who called it the worst possible thing Rubio could have said. Six US service members are dead. Hawk also shares a personal story about Sean Penn, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, and a surreal afternoon in San Francisco tied directly to Iran's 2005 presidential election.

Iran's Power Structure is Complex Mar 02, 2026
    Show notes

Hawk breaks down the structure of Iran's government following the United States and Israeli military strikes that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who held power since 1989. With American service members already killed and more strikes expected over the coming days and weeks, Hawk walks through how Iran's theocratic government actually works and why the death of the Supreme Leader is so significant.

Iran's Supreme Leader holds authority that goes far beyond any elected official. He is commander-in-chief of all armed forces, controls intelligence and national security, can declare war or peace without any vote, and appoints key members of the judiciary and the Council of Guardians. The Council of Guardians, none of whom are elected, determines who is even allowed to run for office in Iran's so-called democratic elections. In the 1997 presidential election, only 4 of 230 declared candidates made it onto the ballot.

The Iranian president, while second in power, has authority trimmed by a constitution that subordinates the entire executive branch to the Supreme Leader. Iran is the only country in the world where the executive branch does not control its own military.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the IRGC, with 125,000 troops, was built to protect the Islamic Revolution itself and operates with significant autonomy, drawing weapons from China, North Korea, and Russia. Both Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin have voiced support for Iran and condemned the US attack. Only two Supreme Leaders have existed since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The United States just killed the second.

    Trump's Authoritarian Propaganda Machine Mar 01, 2026
    Show notes

Larry Ellison and his son David Ellison have won the bid to acquire Warner Brothers Discovery in a $110 billion deal, edging out Netflix. The Ellisons, close allies of Donald Trump, are financing the purchase with $70 billion in debt, including roughly $25 billion from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds. The final price of $31 per share was more than four times the recent low of Warner Brothers Discovery stock.

What this means for American media is staggering. The Ellisons already control CBS and CBS News through their earlier $8 billion Paramount merger. This new deal adds CNN, HBO, HBO Max, DC Comics, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Comedy Central, Showtime, TNT, TBS, the Food Network, HGTV, Discovery, Adult Swim, OWN, The Learning Channel, Avatar Studios, and the Lord of the Rings and Mission Impossible franchises. Larry Ellison also holds a significant stake in TikTok through Oracle.
Hawk outlines how Bari Weiss, placed in charge of CBS News and 60 Minutes, has already driven away viewers and credibility, including Anderson Cooper, who walked away from 60 Minutes after 19 years. The same playbook is expected to be applied to CNN.

The deeper concern is the Ellisons' intent to gut creative talent and replace programming with AI-generated content to service the enormous debt load this deal carries. With Trump signaling regulatory approval, antitrust challenges are effectively neutralized. Scott Jennings and CNN's panel-yelling format come up as symbols of a media landscape already in decline. The consolidation of this much media power in the hands of Trump-aligned billionaires represents a fundamental threat to independent journalism and creative expression in America.

Ro Khanna, Thomas Massie, and the Plot to Release the Epstein Files Mar 01, 2026
    Show notes

The Atlantic's Sarah Fitzpatrick, who has spent over a decade reporting on Jeffrey Epstein, published a detailed timeline of how the Epstein Files Transparency Act came to exist. Hawk walks through that article, adding context and commentary throughout. At the center of the story is an unlikely political partnership between Representative Ro Khanna, a progressive Democrat from Silicon Valley, and Representative Thomas Massie, a conservative Republican from Kentucky. Together, with support from Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, and Lauren Boebert, they pushed through legislation forcing the release of the Epstein files after the DOJ and FBI sent an unsigned letter in July 2025 declaring the files closed and Epstein's death a suicide.

Pam Bondi handed out binders of previously released and heavily redacted documents to right-wing media figures at the White House a year ago, then told Fox News she had truckloads of evidence and the Epstein client list on her desk. Meanwhile, the FBI assigned 1,000 personnel to catalog every mention of Donald Trump's name in the files. Trump's name appears tens of thousands of times. He is the first person listed on a DOJ slide titled "Prominent Names" and is linked to an accusation involving a minor, documents that were withheld or deleted from the DOJ website.

The fallout outside the U.S. has included arrests of prominent figures in Norway, scrutiny of Prince Andrew and Peter Mandelson in Britain, and resignations across Europe. Thirteen Trump administration officials, including six cabinet members, are implicated. Back in Congress, only one member, Clay Higgins of Louisiana, voted against the bill. Thomas Massie told the author he believes he may have shortened his own life by pursuing this. Virginia Roberts Giuffre, Epstein's most prominent accuser and Prince Andrew's accuser, died by suicide last year. At a recent congressional hearing, eight Epstein survivors stood directly behind Pam Bondi. Every one raised their hand confirming their offers to testify had been ignored. Bondi never turned around.
