Reach for Peace Before You Reach for Your Phone Aug 11, 2021

Show notes

Today's Quotes:
"It is easy to bear the heat of fire and likewise, it is possible to tread the edge of the sword. But to sustain an unchanging love is a most difficult business."
-Kabir
"'Mind' is nothing but the absence of your presence." - Osho
Today's Practice:
Meditate on Love the way you usually meditate on the world... the way I talked about how I was meditating on my hair, or my feet, or a headache. We have to keep some attention on Love, constantly, no matter what we seem to be up to.
So today, and everyday, before you reach for your phone, reach for Peace, reach for your mantra , reach for the inner Silence. Meditate on Love while you scroll your feed. Use that super powerful impulse to check your phone, to check yourself... to feel your Self. And if you're anything like me, you'll have a tremendous number of times to practice Love, today lol! Let's use our screen time for Go(o)d! Start scrolling IG and FB (do we still do that? are we still on the Book?) in the atmosphere of Love. Keep some attention inside, on Love, or on your mantra, or on Silence, at ALL times. Until this Love replaces your concept of time... of yourself. Until Love is all that's left.

This is the Practice that Changed My Life Aug 10, 2021

Show notes

“You must remember that the Name represents God within you. So you repeat any Name you hold dear and fill yourself with Divine ecstasy. This is the easiest and best method by which you can purify yourself. Think of God and you become the image of God. Take the holy Name and you become holy.
- Ramdas
"The best service you can do is to keep your thoughts on God. Keep God in mind every minute."
-Mahrajji
"If you do Japa mantra you will always be benefited. You will never lose anything."
-Anandamayi Ma
"Those who sing the praises of Him are no longer ordinary men trapped in the world."
-Anon
"That student onto who the Lord becomes merciful chants the Lord's name and wins the game of life."
-Guru Ram Das Ji
"Knowingly or unknowingly, consciously or unconsciously, in whatever state we utter His name, we acquire the merit of such utterance." - RamaKrishna
"By Reciting His name, everything is achieved." -Maharajji
“By the power of the Name of God, one shall come to know what one does not know. One shall see what cannot be seen. One will be able to speak what cannot be spoken. One shall meet what cannot be ordinarily met. Incalculable will be the gain of uttering the Name.” - #Tukaram
“Gazing upon this world, you are fooled. It is not worth even half a shell. Only the name of the Lord of the Universe is permanent.”
-Gurbani
"After no great lapse of time I had the feeling that the prayer had, so to speak, by its own action passed from my lips to my heart. Further there came into my heart and precious warmth. None of these things made me feel at all cast down. It was as though they were happening to someone else and I merely watched them. The prayer brought sweetness into my heart and made me unaware of everything else."
- The Way of A Pilgrim
-Excerpt about Mantras from the book I've mentioned before, Polishing the Mirror (the one that sold me on the practice back in 2013)

Listen to This One When You're Upset Aug 09, 2021

Show notes

We'll call this the Go(o)d Tools collection-- recordings you can play, real-time, when you're in those stormy moments. Let Love help you find your way back to your throne, back to the Calm, back to the only Power. Remember, you're never 'upset'... you're only ever out of Peace. You're not angry or afraid, you just forgot God. But the moment you recognize that you've forgotten, you've already remembered :) So smile!
This is the audio version of the notes I've written in my phone over the years- my 'break glass in case of emergency', Love notes to myself. I hope they help you as much as they've helped me.
All you need is enough awareness to remember to remember to come here and hit play. And I promise that you'll find the relief you're seeking. And in that relief you'll find Love. And in that Love, solutions. Abide. Breathe. Smile.
It's all Go(o)d. Always.
I love you,
Nik

How to Let Go and Let God- The Real Meaning of Surrender Aug 08, 2021

Show notes

Today's Quotes:
"Some people feel the rain, others just get wet." - Bob Marley
"This Is, and this isn't."- Herb Fitch on discerning the Real (Love) from the not real (appearances)
"What is Sufism?" He said: "To feel joy in the heart when sorrow appears." - Rumi
Today's Practice:
Choose your 'let go'... pick your permission slip to surrender and keep returning to it today. It could be your mantra, it could be listening to Silence, it could be setting your phone alarm to go off every hour to remind you to relax the tension in your body... pick the one that works for you and EMPLOY IT. Be still in Love, in the knowing that Only Love is Here.

The Secret of Success in Every Walk of Life Aug 07, 2021

Show notes

Today's Quotes:
"Bliss is the feeling that comes to you when the observer has become the observed. Bliss is the feeling that comes to you when you are in harmony, not fragmented; one, not disintegrated, not divided, undivided, one. Feeling is not something that happens from the outside. It is the melody that arises out of your inner harmoniousness. "
- Osho , The Empty Boat
"Gain this consciousness of God's presence and you have the whole secret of success in every walk of life.
Cultivate the awareness of the presence of God every moment. It is our conscious union with God which enables us to live without taking thought and makes possible a life of complete abundance- by Grace."
- Joel Goldsmith, The Infinite Way
Today's Practice: We run through the REAL SEEING MEDITATION from Headless.org in order to get clear instruction on how to 'turn within'. The same attention we use to watch TV or look out at an object, we now turn within ourselves to notice Silent-Love. Keeping some attention within, on the Loving Silence, is our practice and it bears fruit, abundantly.

I Am Within- A 5-Minute Guided Meditation For Go(o)d Sleep Aug 06, 2021

Show notes

I Am here to wake you up, so that your body can sleep. Play this one right before bed tonight, and every night until you can choose Love without a permission slip!
This Evening's Meditation:
"Beloved, whether or not you recognize My Holy Presence, yet am I still within you. I am flowing through you, even though unfelt and unseen. How much I could do for you, and how clearly I could direct you if you would turn within from time to time, and by speaking to Me have a living consciousness of the Holy Presence abiding with you always.
You make so hard a thing of life. My children struggle and strive to accomplish and attain. Try to be still that you may hear My voice. Know that I am in all sounds of loveliness and all things beautiful bear the image of My face. But your eyes are holden and you hear and see not. Try My dear one so that in coming days I can be more real to you. Then shall that which is not real fall away and sweet shall be the reality of our fellowship and great shall be your strength. You shall abide in Peace, walking your way in joyous service all through the day."
- Eva Bell Werber, In His Presence
You 'speak' to God by being Still and listening within. God speaks back as Silent Love. Rest in This, tonight. I am in It with you.
I Love you,
Nik

We Don't Match Energy Aug 06, 2021

Show notes

Today's Quote:
"Begin your spiritual life with the understanding that all conflicts must be settled within your consciousness. There is never a conflict with person or condition, but rather a false concept mentally entertained about person, thing, circumstance or condition. Therefore, make the correction within yourself, rather than attempting to change anyone or anything in the without.
Acknowledge God as substance, law, cause, and activity of all that is, and immediately refrain from meddling physically or mentally in the without. Get back inside yourself, and there resolve all appearances."
- Joel Goldsmith, The Infinite Way
Today's Practice: In the face of a disturbance, remember that it must first be resolved in yourself. You don't have to make your little self, your ego, feel better... your little self doesn't have to feel good, but you have to feel and be aware of and AS God. Become aware of your mantra, or Silence, or Love and recognize that you are the Loving Space for that moment to unfold in. You are then aware of the disturbance AND Love. This recognition, these short, frequent awakenings, are the healer of every situation.
