How I Get Through My Dark Nights #GMweekends Aug 21, 2022

Show notes

First, I remember that it doesn't matter what the body is feeling or what the mind is thinking-- I Am Love and Love is unfolding where I Am. Then, I wait to feel this Love. And because I'm now feeling Love, I'm no longer matching the energy of the moment. I'm not generating a false or fake joy, but turning back toward the inner Light, the subtle Joy, the Love that IS. And I keep feeling the Light, holding this Love, through the situation, through the anxiety, through the worry... until it's seen that only the Light is real. The eyes see the appearance but I'm no longer judging by the appearance. I'm no longer fooled by it. I'm seeing it... but I'm feeling Love at the same time. And I know that Only Love is Here.
As you move through your dark nights, it's important to remember that you aren't seeking God. You aren't seeking the Light. You don't want Freedom or happiness or Love. YOU ARE THAT. You want them because of the false perception that you think you are separate from That, from God. Freedom is the essence of who you are. Relax, recognize, and stay feeling this Truth, inside. And this Truth becomes your outer circumstances.
"He is a real man who does not let go his hold on the Self-state while he is attending to whatever problems come of their own accord and without desire."
- Ramana Maharshi, Padamalai pg. 250
"Self-knowledge, or knowledge of Truth is not had by resorting to teachers, scriptures, or good deeds. It is attained only by means of enquiry inspired by those who have awareness of the inner Light. One's inner Light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner Light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia. Whatever sorrows there may be that seem to be difficult to overcome are easily crossed over with the help of the boat of wisdom (the inner Light). He who is devoid of this wisdom is bothered even by minor difficulties. The effort and the energy that are directed by the people in worldly activities should first be directed in the gaining of this wisdom. Wisdom or the inner Light is like the legendary precious stone which bestows on its owner whatever he wishes to have."
- The Yoga Vasistha
Rhonda Ross' poem mentioned in this episode.

Try This 'Inner Elevator' Trick to Quiet the Mind #GMweekends Aug 20, 2022

Show notes

Ride your inner elevator from the mind down into the Heart. Ride it from noise to Silence. From chaos to Peace. From fear to Love. It's noisy in the head, but quiet in the Heart. Stay (t)here in this Loving Silence. Don't ride the elevator back up. Stay (t)here. Stay Love.
Today's Quote:
"The mind should be kept in the heart as long as it has not reached the Highest End. This is wisdom, and this is liberation. Everything else is only words."

The Promise of Certainty in Uncertainty Aug 19, 2022

Show notes

In order to cope with the uncertainty of your future,
you have to realize the certainty of this felt-Love--
of Its oneness, of Its allness, of Its completeness.
From this energy of Love, you'll come to see that the
future you've been wanting is already the past.
You have It. You are It.
So embody It,
by smiling,
exhaling longer,
relaxing,
TRUSTING,
DEEPER.
Let Love in, from the inside.
I Love you,

Today's Quotes:
"Let the beat build."
- Lil Wayne
"The rising and falling of your breath: that is the way of looking within. Many have said: Look within. Socrates has said: Look within, know thyself, but nobody has given the exact method. Buddha gives you the exact method: the rising and the falling of the breath. It is through the breath that you are bridged. Breath is the bridge between your soul and your body. If you can watch your breath rising and falling, slowly slowly you will be able to see the body as separate from yourself and also the breath as separate from yourself, because the watcher cannot be the watched, the observer cannot be the observed. Suddenly one day you will realize that you are the witness of it all. And the witness is certainly transcendental to all that it witnesses. In that very moment freedom has happened to you."
-Osho, The Dhammapada: The Way of the Buddha, Vol 11, Ch 5
"You must be conscious of being secure if you are to know what security is."
-Neville Goddard
"The only one who is free in the world is the One who is free of the world."
-Wu Hsin
"It is time you remember who you are: the blessed soul, a reflection of Spirit. Take off the mask of feelings. Face your Self."
-Yogananda
"The power is with the silent ones. who only live and love and then withdraw their personality... They are the real movers, the Jivanmuktas (literally, free even while living), absolutely selfless, the little personality entirely blown away, ambition non-existent. They are all principle, no personality."

'This' Is Taking Care of 'That' Aug 15, 2022

Show notes

And trust... you're not imagining 'This'.
We can use the mind, the imagination, to turn toward 'This',
but 'This' already was.
In every holy instant, you can either be stress, or be 'This'.
At one point all you had was 'This'.
'This' was enough.
'This' was your everything.
You even knew your Self as 'This',
until you started imagining your Self as 'that',
the one reading these words.
But now you can rest, you can relax and surrender in the faith that,
'This' is taking care of that.
Love is taking care of you,
healing you,
in all ways, always.
Let 'This' in.
I Love you,
Nik

Today's Quotes:
"Once you see the false as false, there is no further necessity to seek truth."
-Ramesh S. Balsekar
"Without that false sense of 'I', where would error be?
If there was no 'I' to be sick where would sickness be?
If there were no 'I' to sin, where would sin be?
If there was no 'I' to die, where would death be?
In the same place that sound would be if there were no one out there to hear it. It wouldn't be there."
-Joel Goldsmith
"Remember when you had no religions? Remember when all you had was Him?"
-Rumi
"You can just be sitting there and suddenly find yourself overwhelmed with joy out of seemingly nothing. You tear up at the thought of how good you have it. You think about all the things you overcame, but more importantly all the things God kept you from having to overcome. Take these moments in."

How to Let Go of Resentments and Be Love #GMweekends Aug 14, 2022

Show notes

Pause in the midst of a familiar train of thought about who or what is bothering you. Scan your body. Let go of the tension you find. Letting go of the tension on the inside is the healing. You'll begin to experience a constant, conscious Peace inside, and harmony outside until you see that there is no inside and outside. Only Peace. Only Harmony, Only this Love.
REMEMBER: Feeling Love is the 'let go'. When you keep feeling Love, you keep letting go into Love. And when only Love is left, what appears can only be in the image of that Love. You realize life is really Go(o)d.

"Tonight, give thanks to those who have done you wrong. They have unknowingly made you strong."
- Unknown
"Resentments. They all have their cheap little payoff, that little inner satisfaction. Let’s not pretend that it’s not there. There is a weird, quirky pleasure when we hang on to pain. It certainly satisfies our unconscious need for the alleviation of guilt through punishment. We get to feel miserable and rotten. The question then arises, “But for how long?”

Today's Quotes:
"Brahman is to be meditated upon as the source of all thought and life and action. He is the splendor in wealth, he is the light in the stars. He is all things.
Let a man meditate upon Brahman as support, and he will be supported. Let him meditate upon Brahman as greatness, and he will be great. Let him meditate upon Brahman as mind, and he will be endowed with intellectual power. Let him meditate upon Brahman as adoration, and he will be adored. Let him worship Brahman as Brahman, and he will become Brahman."
- Taittiriya Upanishad translated by Swami Prabhavananda and Frederick Manchester
"Attune yourself to the active inner Guidance; the Divine Voice has the answer to every dilemma of life."
- Lahiri Mahasaya
Brahman definition via WIKI- The ultimate reality underlying all phenomena. Brahman connotes the highest Universal Principle, the Ultimate Reality in the universe. In major schools of Hindu philosophy, it is the material, efficient, formal and final cause of all that exists. It is the pervasive, infinite, eternal truth and bliss which does not change, yet is the cause of all changes.

Today's Quotes:
The Lord's Prayer, translated from Aramaic directly into English. Rather than from Aramaic to Greek to Latin to English. - Simon Bartholomé via FB
"O cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration,
soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your Presence can abide.
Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission.
Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire.
Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.
Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.
Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.
For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth, power, and fulfillment, as all is gathered and made whole once again.
And So It Is!"
Here's another translation I found from Aramaic to English-
"Abwûn:
Oh Thou, from whom the breath of life comes,
d’bwaschmâja:
Who fills all realms of sound, light and vibration.
Nethkâdasch schmach:
May Your light be experienced in my utmost holiest.
Têtê malkuthach:
Your Heavenly Domain approaches.
Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna d’bwaschmâja af b’arha:
Let Your will come true – in the universe just as on earth
Hawvlân lachma d’sûnkanân jaomâna: Give us wisdom for our daily need,
Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna daf chnân schwoken l’chaijabên:
Detach the fetters of faults that bind us, (karma) like we let go the guilt of others.
Wela tachlân l’nesjuna:
Let us not be lost in superficial things,
Ela patzân min bischa:
But let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.
Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l’ahlâm almîn.
From You comes the all-working will, the lively strength to act,
the song that beautifies all and renews itself from age to age.
Amên: Sealed in trust, faith and truth."
"Give up money and all wealth is yours."
-Maharajji
"The power of peace is not that it allows you to avoid the truth, but that it causes you to breathe inside the truth."
