This week, as Angie is readying her new fashion line, NBC executive Jack Donaghy seems to be interfering in her planning when he's more concerned with his hostage wife returning than her fashion show. Additionally, will Tracy be able to give Angie what she wants to make her night truly memorable, or merely good?

    Episode 122: "Live From Studio 6H" May 04, 2021

Anything can happen on live TV, and this week's Go To There analyzes the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of what it has had to offer.

When Jack decided TGS has costs Kabletown too much money being a live show, he plans to convert it a taped presentation, and it's up to Kenneth to save the show. Will his memories of failed live sitcom finales, racially tense live shows, and other sketch programs be enough to sway the cast and crew to stay live, or will the promise of two work weeks a year be too good to pass up?

Additionally, Jenna wants nothing less than to be proposed to on live TV by Paul, but when they try and tell Jenna she's doing it for the wrong reasons, will it convince her ego to step aside for the benefit of their love and relationship?

Just like 30 Rock's previous live episode, there are numerous differences in the different airings (airings that legally impossible to find online) and we do our best to point out and share the differences for the audience. The risk of live TV is arguably rarely worth the reward, but 30 Rock has proved with sharp writing and talent, you can pull it off. Just lose the blackface next time so more viewers can experience it all and the whole idea of losing history by losing it to history because of an outdated minstrel stereotype and racially insensitive themes.

Elsewhere, Liz and Criss discover an old box of adoption stuff from Liz's past, and their relationship must cross a bridge they each believe the other isn't sure wants to cross.

Finally, Jenna is spiraling out of control with the latest celebrity fad: public celebrity breakdown. WIll her plan to win Paul work, or is he left in Kouchie's soft arms forever?

Don't worry, we won't ask you to listen on a Kabletown Kouchtown couch, but get comfy, nerds, Go To There is here!

But when Liz is there to try and get them to have their final "talk", will she be able to get them to do so, or will Colleen rather die than talk to Jack?

Elsewhere, Jenna is continuing her sexual walkabout, steadily checking off numerous items, but her most audacious task of bagging a children's entertainer, a non-Aboriginal Australian, AND being the Yoko Ono of the band may lead her to run back to Paul before it's too late.

Finally, Tracy's eldest son, George Foreman, has been accepted to Stanford but Trtacy doesn't think Jordan men are right for college and aims to convince him to drop out and stay with him. Can the entourage and 30 Rock crew convince Tracy otherwise?

In a rare episode where everyone else is the more racist than Liz Lemon, this is a standout episode on 30 Rock's sixth season as we wind down to the finale. So grab your Joey and make sure your walkabout always leads you back home!

As Liz and the TGS crew learn that Tracy lost his sense of smell, she aims to get it back for him. And when it benefits her and the show greatly (mostly because she smells like his long-lost dad) she must decide the moral and ethical decision to do what's right.

Meanwhile, after a prank embarrasses Jenna, she strikes back, to get caught up not only in a prank war, but also the self-effacing decision that she may be the worst person she knows. Can the prank wear help Jenna discover something about her self?

As Angie's new single "My Single Is Dropping" is dropping prepares its launch party, 30 Rock employees Jack Donaghy and Liz Lemon aim to use it as an excuse to convince her husband, Tracy to return to 30 Rock and TGS.

Meanwhile, TGS star Jenna Maroney is continuously waging war with QOJ stars and Portia steps in to help her with her seeming alcohol abuse, but will Jeena accept the help of those who care for her and their intervention?

Additionally, as Randi is ready to share her own news, she decides to help TGS writer Frank Rossitano reunite with a teacher, Lynn Onkman (Susan Sarandon) who took advantage of him (look, there's no really nice way to describe this horrific storyline, we apologize) when he was her student. WIll love renew, or has Frank's arrested development caused him too much damage?

Episode 96: "TGS Hates Women" Nov 10, 2020

It's time for 30 Rock and TGS to face the music, in this week's Go To There! In another example of art imitating life, the writer's of TGS are put on blast in a hard-hitting article criticizing their depiction(s) of women on TV. However, Liz sets out to show how not non-feminist they are and hires a guest writer: Abby Flynn (Christin Milioti). But, when Abby shows up to be the perceptually opposite of what Liz is wanting to promote, she aims to help Abby "grow up."

Elsewhere in 30 Rock, Jack has the renewed life goal of becoming CEO of Kabletown, but understands that family is thicker than water. As he learns that the most likely inheritor of Kabletown's top position is Hank Hooper's 14 year old granddaughter Kaylie (Chloë Grace Moretz), he whips up a plan to destroy her future; but unlocks his past as a result, along with a sleeping dragon in Kaylie.

30 Rock has shown consecutively now that, despite Tracy being brought in its first episode to "save TGS", there are still characters and stories of the people inside the TGS world that can showcase quality entertainment. We hope his African sabbatical does him well, but with this recent string of episodes and the upcoming "Queen of Jordan", 30 Rock shows it doesn't need the famed actor of hits like "Who Dat Ninja?" and "Fat Bitch" to excel!

Episode 95: "It's Never Too Late For Now" Nov 03, 2020

On this week's Go To There, we get a mini-mystery that harkens back to many Agatha Christie novels after Liz dives headfirst into Spinsterhood. Can she be pulled out of her newfound life, or is it just her and her new cat Emily Dickinson versus the world? Elsewhere Pete and Frank begin their new journey: Soundmound. After Frank's inspiring lyrics and Pete's history in music, the two set out to rock the town, but will their egos and differences split the band before they make it big?

Finally, as Jack sets out to negotiate with the Kabletown board, he must first face down his daughter's nanny who's charging him far more than he thinks she's worth, but she may be able to teach a thing or two in regards to negotiation in the end.

Despite being a filler episode and not advancing too much in 30 Rock's world, we like to think "It's Never Too Late For Now" stands atop the filler pile as a standout. From its wild mystery to the slow unraveling of it all (and Soundmound, RIP), it's an excellent episode to enjoy!

    Episode 94: "Double-Edged Sword" Oct 27, 2020

Pack your bags, we're (mostly) leaving 30 Rock this week on Go To There as Liz and Carol head out of town for a couple's retreat, and Jack and Avery head to the Great White North to attend a summit. But don't worry, the rest of TGS are still in town as Tracy deals with his newfound stardom.

Liz and Carol are going to stayover in NC but their personalities cause a clash on the tarmac that puts the other passengers, and their relationship, to its absolute limit. Meanwhile, Jack and AVery have little time to celebrate Canada as Avery starts having contractions and it's a race to the border to prevent *gasp* a dual-citizenship baby! The two couples must test each other's similar quirks and personalities to survive their tumultuous weekends.

Finally, with great power comes... yadda yadda, we've all heard it a thousand times before.... But Tracy is now reaping the benefits of EGOT-ing, and it's scared him to where he's not sure he can commit to the pressure waged against him.

What a whirl-of-wind episode "Double-Edged Sword" is, it feels like a finale (mid-or-season) just dropped midway through the season's run; it's not a bad thing, mind you, but with as much that occurs, it's wild they placed it in mid-February in the season's run. Enjoy it, as we're starting the build to the finale, and Tracy's small arc of running away from it all.

Elsewhere, Avery is under the watchful, driven eyes of her competition Carmen Chao (Vanessa Lachey) who wants her job, and is out to prove Avery's pregnant and unfit for the promotion. So Liz becomes the hero and fakes being pregnant to save Avery and Jack, but is she ready for the newfound rumors and attention?
