Show notes
In this episode, Matt sits down with Jeff Lusk to talk cocker spaniels, field trials, hunting season plans, and what makes these little flushing dogs so addictive. They discuss beginner-friendly “picnic trials,” choosing the right hunting dog, the realities of living with a cocker in the house, and why spaniels build such a close partnership with their handlers. Whether you’re considering your first bird dog, already hunt behind a spaniel, or just enjoy hearing hunting stories, this conversation is packed with practical insights and plenty of dog talk.
