Firefly Funhouse, Sami’s Trial, Rampage Main Events, Glass Onions, and Bachelors - January 16th-22nd Jan 23, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys discuss the return of Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Funhouse and wonder what it means for the Pitch Black match at the Royal rumble. Plus, the trial of Sami Zayn is going to take place at Raw XXX next week. Will this be the end of Sami in the Bloodline? Finally, they break down the tag tournament and wether or not the Viking Raiders were eliminated too early.
In AEW, Top Flight took out the Young Bucks, but do the Martins win the titles before the Gunns? Daniel Garcia lost to Action Andretti in the main even of Rampage. Tyler and Brad try to predict where this is all leading.
GI at the movies debuts this week with a brief review of Glass Onion. The entire intro is clunky, but it has layers. So do onions, so it works out. They also conduct the first and likely last Bachelor fantasy draft!

Adam Cole, Vince, the Saudis, Mercedes Mone, and Red Carpet - WWE and AEW January 9th - January 15th Jan 16, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk. For a while. They discuss their thoughts on the Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Saudi Arabia sale and the wrestling Twitter journalism that took place around it. They also discuss the non-debut of one Mercedes Mone on AEW this week.
The WWE is still cranking out compelling moments with Sami and the Bloodline, and Bray Wyatt is still building out his character to what the guys hope is a satisfying conclusion.
In AEW, the television quality has increased over the last month or so, and this week delivered in a big way with the return of Adam Cole in a new market for AEW. They discuss both.
Tyler gives us his thoughts on Championship Wrestling from Arizona (@cwfaz on Twitter) and the Red Carpet Rumble event from his backyard. Danny LimeLight defended, WIllie Mack appeared, and Kingston and Ortiz were in action.

Vince, Mercedes Mone, Kenny, Swerve, AJ, and Wrestle Kingdom - WWE and AEW January 2nd - January 8th Jan 09, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about three separate promotions after an absolutely loaded week of professional wrestling. Brad gives his thoughts on Wrestle Kingdom before Tyler addresses the return of Vincent Kennedy McMahon to the boardroom. AJ Styles is hurt, and they talk about his legendary run and who they would like to see him face before hanging it up.
AEW had an extra hour of television this week. Swerve and the Mogul Affiliates are here, and Tyler asks who it benefits the most. Plus, Battle of the Belts was on a Friday, live, which made it difficult for Tyler. They discuss whether or not Saturday is the move.
A Rose from Tyler returns as a new season of the Bachelor creeps up on us, and both guys gush over one of the best debuts in not-so-recent memory: Tazz in the WWE. It’s 23 years old, and it’s the perfect way to return Back in the Day.

Mercedes Mone, Title Changes, Snug Songs, and AT&T Woes - WWE and AEW December 26-January 1st Jan 02, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about the reign of a returning babyface Charlotte Flair after Ronda had what Tyler considers the best Ronda match to date. They question whether or not it was too soon for Charlotte. Also, Mercedes Varnado, Mercedes Mone, Mone Banks, or Sasha Banks is likely going to be working Japan shows. Brad asks if WWE will have to counter the move if she ends up working in AEW.
In AEW, The Acclaimed debuted a new music video which Taz referred to as a “snug” clip. HOOK went face to face with Big Bill, and Jungle Boy was there for the assist. They discuss if they enjoyed The Acclaimed or JungleHook more. Plus, they both try to predict the Darby v Joe TNT title match in Darby’s hometown this coming Dynamite.
Tyler cuts a promo on AT&T customer service, and Brad makes a Sandusky reference that has nothing to do with Cedar Point after the College Football playoff madness from Saturday.
