Episode 209: Retro Toys Aug 02, 2021

Show notes

It feels like there has never been such a widescale, (predominantly) well-presented retro wave engulfing toy properties as there is today. GI Joe gets a share of it, sure. But there are a fair few other properties that do it, dare we say, a little better?

In 209 we crack open an overview of what our favourite retro revival toylines are.

And of course we talk about Masters Of The Universe Revelation. Of course.

The Great GI Joe Comics Debate Jul 09, 2021

Show notes

*Streamed on YouTube and Facebook 8 July 2021 at 22:00 Eastern Time*

If you were forced to choose between the first 50 issues of the GI Joe A Real American Hero comic series by Marvel, and the 50 issues that followed, which would you say is the superior run of books? In a titanic battle of wits, dazzling argument, and nerdy knowledge, RetroBlasting and Reklaimers Vintage Toys propose the motion:

"GI Joe A Real American Hero #51-101 is a superior run of issues to #1-50"

Analog Toys and GI Joburg will oppose the motion. YOU decide the outcome!

GI Joburg is proud to host this stream as part of Iconicon 2021. For event details and schedule, check https://www.iconicononline.com/
