So for those of you who don't know what A&R is, basically, Autumn discovers new talent for her label, listens to songs for artists on her label, and helps guide and develop artists as they grow and make music... to name a few things she does. She works closely w stars such as Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley to name a feeeeew. And she is just so talented. Autumn has an amazing ear for hit songs. That's why she's one of the best in the biz, and it was my privilege to interview her. Especially since i was so impacted by her when I first moved to town, and was in college at Belmont, and she spoke to us. A Producer from the hit TV show GLEE found him and thought he would be perfect to play the role of Roderick Meeks, starring opposite Lea Michele (he tells us what's she's like behind the scenes). He just recorded a new album, "The Valley," and it comes out June 23rd and it's just so good. Noah truly believes in the music he's making and does it all for the song, never worrying about the outcome. We talk alllll about what goes on behind the scenes, how it feels knowing other guys are kissing the girl you are pursuing, that hot tub scene (🔥), and how he really felt about falling in love on National TV.... Then we talk about his life prior to The Bachelorette, in the military... he served 9 years, 4 years in college at Westpoint, and 5 years as an officer, 1 year in Afghanistan. He said that experience "opened his eyes to the rest of the world." He also had a life-threatening health scare that really put everything in perspective for him... Moved to Nashville, got a record deal on Capitol Records (I interned at Capitol when she was signed there, and have been a huge fan of her for years!), sang a DUET w Keith Urban ("Blue Sky"- talk about powerful song and performance!), then moved to NYC on a whim- she went for a weekend trip then didn't come back for a year or so, entered "America's Got Talent," and got 2nd Place (what!), basically 1st place as far as singing, bc a magician beat her... So in my mind, she won for sure. Emily's voice is other worldly. She is in a league of her own. One of the best voices of our generation.... The Sisterhood! I'm obsessed. I'm not sure how you get cooler, more talented or more beautiful than Alyssa Bonagura and Ruby Stewart. These 2 belong from another era, like the 70's with Stevie Nicks and Cher... But they bring a modern twist to their music and vibe. What they have is magic, and can't quite be defined. Both ladies grew up on the road with traveling musician parents. Ruby is from Rock N Roll Royalty; her dad is Rod Stewart. When they are together it feels like electricity is in the room, you just want to be around it. Hearing about their upbringing both living on the road, finding their own way musically and then joining together by a random stroke of luck in LA, confirms these 2 gals were always destined to be together, make music, and change the world.
