This may be the year the Cavaliers-Al Horford jokes end, so says Justin Rowan of FearTheSword. But his prediction will draw some laughs.

“My heart is telling me Cavs in 5, my gut is telling me it’s a sweep."

These two teams don't look the way they anticipated to when many predicted Boston and Cleveland to be here before the season, but here they are anyway and the two fanbases will meet head-on as they always do. Brad Stevens is 1-8 vs. Cleveland in the playoffs, but now has a chance to reach his first NBA Finals if he can overcome the hump.

We discuss the Cavs' read-and-react approach that will challenge the Celts' elite defense, Marcus Morris' past success against LeBron, Justin comparing Jayson Tatum to Tobias Harris preseason and which Tristan Thompson we'll see in this series.

Plus, Justin asks how vital it is for Stevens to actually compete in this series and prove his prediction wrong?

Jayson Tatum, Terry Rozier and Marcus Morris combined for another second half thrilled against the 76ers pushing the Celtics up 2-0. But Al Horford's been right in the middle of Boston's postseason run for the second straight year. This episode's dedicated to him, but also what's wrong with Philadelphia? Not calling timeouts, not playing Fultz, all while Horford puts Joel Embiid on an island and Twitter puts Ben Simmons on Wilt with a "1."

It's time for the long-overdue official welcome of Sam Sheehan to CelticsBlog. He's ready to die in the 76ers-Celtics posting wars, but the Bucks might have something to say about whether that happens or not.

We throw away Episode 34 as Milwaukee's turned this series upside down. Sam dives into turnovers, Marcus Morris' last shot, Shane Larkin and lineups. Then, with a best 2 out of 3 starting tonight, we ask if the Celts SHOULD win this series.

Also, a greater look at the East as the Cavs face trouble in round 1. Is the door open for the 76ers to take the East and if so does that threaten Boston's future hold on the conference?

34: JIMMY TOSCANO on Bledsoe Rozier feud, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brad Stevens and is Milwaukee rolling over? | Boston | NBA | Playoffs | Basketball | Podcast | Khris Middleton | Marcus Smart | Terry Rozier | Eric Bledsoe | Celtics | Bucks | Round 1 | Apr 19, 2018

Jimmy Toscano says the Bucks have lost themselves in some way in this series between a lack of leadership and losing culture. That frustration boiled over as Milwaukee fell 0-2 in the Boston opener to their series with the Celtics. Toscano takes us inside the Garden for a review of the first two, from Bledsoe-Rozier's odd feud to Middleton's silliest shot ever.

Also, do the Bucks have a losing culture and should Tommy Heinsohn remember the record that Jaylen Brown just broke?

It took until about 10:30, all the way until the end of the 8 p.m. games, but a trio of seeding scenarios rolled into Celtics-Bucks officially being the first round 2-7 playoff series.

There's plenty to say about Giannis Antetokounmpo, but what about the rest of the cast in Milwaukee? There are names everywhere, but can they fill their potential as a squad for the first time?

Then for Boston; who plays? Who's the x-factor? All those important questions and weighing matchup concerns.

We look back at the season that was, who was crucial to the 55 wins (Brad Stevens' most) and second-guesses on our old visions of who Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris were.

32: Kyrie Irving season OVER, any NBA playoff hope, can Terry Rozier lead forward? | Celtics | Podcast | Boston | NBA | Basketball | Brad Stevens | Cavaliers | Jeff Green | Postseason | Gordon Hayward | Marcus Smart | Daniel Theis | Shane Larkin | Apr 06, 2018

In an emergency (room) edition, (Dr.) Jared Weiss breaks down the Kyrie Irving injury/infection/procedure that will shockingly force him to miss the next 4-5 years and thus the season.

The listeners/readers take over, offering their thoughts, hope and despair on a season (that was?). Is it over yet? It'll be up to a newly-tightened roster, since certain members of the team won't be joining Boston in the playoffs, as Weiss notes.

We also introduce a new signee, who will hope to be Irving-esqe for four games. Want to be on the next show? Voicemail us at 978-595-1744.

31: Ray Allen First Take, Brad Stevens for Coach of the Year, Jazz game-winner and Kyrie/Smart status | Al Horford | Marcus Morris | Jaylen Brown | Semi Ojeleye | NBA | Basketball | Podcast | Irving | Celtics | Boston | Toronto | Raptors | Paul Pierce | R Mar 30, 2018
    Show notes

On host Bobby Manning's 20th birthday, it's hard to believe 2008 is ten years in the rearview, and even harder to imagine where the team stands. It's become Ray Allen vs. the rest of the 08 champs, entrenched in their positions in a feud that seems far from over.

Before we hit on that, Brian Robb dug into a wildly intriguing Celtics team that seems to bounce back harder with every body that goes down. He breaks down Jaylen Brown's game-winner, rates Brad Steven's coach of the year candidacy (he should win) and explains what makes his matchup-oriented approach so effective. We also talk Terry Rozier, injury updates and lineups.

Then Nick Gelso drops some knowledge from Ray Allen's interview in Boston at the Wilbur Theater, which was half empty. Allen took to First Take and said Heat-Celts wasn't a rivalry, he never called his teammates before leaving and Rajon Rondo and him still don't talk. When will this madness end?
