Below Deck Med S6 Ep 13 Sympathy for the Devil Sep 21, 2021

Show notes

Adrienne renamed this episode Sympathy for the Devil, but on a boat with a few to choose from you'll need to listen to find out where Gangplank's sympathies lie. One part of the show garnered a Hallelujah Chorus, and if you been following the show or even only the podcast, we're sure you're singing along in harmony. We also tackle the great 3rd stew debate and take a close look at how real the Captain and Bosun's throwdown came off.

BDM S6 Ep 12 Super Fans Haile and Danielle Sep 16, 2021

Show notes

You've been watching them enjoy the Med for the last couple of weeks, now hear Haile and Danielle answer some burning questions about Firemen, Mayoral races, and more. Co-primary Haile and Sumo stripper suit wearing Danielle give us the skinny on "all the things" that went down with "all of the people" aboard the Lady Michelle.

Below Deck Med S6 Ep 12 Wipeout Sep 14, 2021

Show notes

There's more than one reason we changed the name of the episode to Wipeout. There were not only physical ones, but one in an attempt to take a relationship to the next step, and another perhaps season-ending one in the form of taking the low blows way too far. How could a trip to gorgeous waterfalls and great dining spots turn into such a nightmare? We've got at least two answers to that, and they're both names.

This episode is dedicated to the memory of Lars Fredriksen, a Super Fan for the ages, now a star in the heavens for us to steer our ships by.

BDM S6 Ep 11 Club Bravo Captain Mel Super Fan Interview Sep 09, 2021

Show notes

You've heard Adrienne and Jen share little tidbits they've learned from the Club Bravo group on the Clubhouse app. Now you get to hear from moderator "Captain" Mel herself - Melissa Sullivan. She gives her takes on the franchises, the current season of Below Deck Med and even throws in a "Marry, Charter, Kick off the Boat" pop quiz for the ladies. Be sure to give her a follow on IG and Twitter @MelGotServed and download the clubhouse app, join Club Bravo, and tune in on Tuesday nights at 6pm EST.

Below Deck Med S6 Ep 11 Magicless Mike Sep 07, 2021

Show notes

The rain puts a literal damper on everything, so instead of occupying the guests with water sports, the deck crew gets creative with their choice of entertainment. The debate about keeping Delaney still drags on, with Mat being firmly in the "No" column. Sandy's trust in Malia is wavering, but is it justified. Join us as we break it all down.

BDM S6 Ep 10 Lars and Tamara Super Fan Interview Sep 02, 2021

Show notes

We have the perfect recipe to serve up this episode. A little sweet, a little salty, and all fun. Lars is Gangplank Report's first octogenarian Super Fan and his daughter Tamara is a yacht chef. We get their takes on the franchises in general and also get Tamara's perspective as a professional in the industry on this season's Below Deck Med Crew. Don't miss it!

Below Deck Med S6 Ep 10 This Chef Is On Fire Aug 31, 2021

Show notes

This episode of Below Deck is jam packed. A new crew member arrives and she's stew-ISH. We lose a magical unicorn, and Chef Mat loses a few layers of skin from a burn. Lexi's up in arms about her demotion and being stuck on early shift with Mat for two charters in a row. David gets the most cringe Sumo Strip Show we've ever seen, and we're still trying to figure out why Katie is in such a rush to get Delaney off of the boat when to us, Lexi is clearly the problem child.

BDM S6 Ep9 Karen Borin Super Fan Interview Aug 26, 2021

Show notes

What started out as a fun interview about what it's like to be a Below Deck Super Fan and charter yachts without cameras, wound up turning into one of Gangplank's most impactful interviews to date. Our guest Karen Borin has strong charitable ties to Haiti and just before the episode was set to air, Haiti's President was assassinated. We put the episode on hold out of respect during that difficult time and wanted to touch base with Karen again for an update. More misfortune beset the island nation right before the follow up and Haiti was hit with a massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake. With Karen's help HaitianSportsFoundation.org had just completed construction of a technical school, and it is now housing 90 displaced families who lost their homes. Karen shared their joint mission with us, and if you are moved to donate you can do so either through HaitianSportsFoundation.org 's website, or through the foundation Karen created in memory of her father The Duane Davis Foundation. Donations to The DDF can be made through Venmo at @TheDDF , authentication code 6503. Thank you in advance for anyone willing. We've already raised 700.00 through Twitter and IG and food has already been delivered to families in need, but there's more work to do.

Below Deck Med S6 Ep 9 Octoberfest Schmucktoberfest Aug 24, 2021

Show notes

Lexi is still doing less than most green stews and the guests are seeing it reflected in their service. Not good. But the deck crew and Mat are at the tops of their games and are making up for the interior's failings. Katie mulls over whether adding a fourth stew will help or hurt them as a team. And we find out ranks might hang in the balance.

BDM S6 Ep8 Nikki the No1GIFQueen Super Fan Interview Aug 19, 2021

Show notes

Adrienne was hunkered down in the Bahamas bracing for Tropical Storm Fred, so Jen's flying solo in this interview with Nikki, aka No1GIFQueen from Twitter. She shares her history watching the shows, the thoughts on all of the Captains, and some very candid opinions of the current crew. You don't want to miss it.
