CLL #698 (feat. The Love Between The Two Hosts) – 06/02/1998 – Tuesday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016)

This is a brand new transfer of a long lost episode, the show previously thought to be #698 is actually #699 and was misdated by someone who didn’t trust the original date provided by the tape source, mishearing the Bobcat Goldthwait clue they jumped the gun and messed up the archive. Thanks to the Kevin Tapes and my ability to obsess over accuracy we now have the recording order corrected and preserved. This is so fresh and hot off the presses, I have no idea what happens in it. If you think you heard #698 yesterday, well you didn’t heard an incomplete version of #699, also now corrected. Sorry for the confusion, trust me I

CLL #697 (feat. Kathy Griffin) – 06/01/1998 – Monday Night Show Source – Spinfly Tape (2009) with Kevin Tape (2016) patches

This is a new merging of the existing Spinfly tape with a brand new Kevin Tape, now 100% complete. This episode features the urban legend of selling testicles for 90k per nut, some talk of Kathy’s career at the time and some good old fashioned gambling on the abuse history of a caller. Classic Episode, Prime KG era LL. Kathy has 11 more appearances during the Adam era, one of the most frequent guests on the show and all time most recurring female guest in the show’s history.

CLL #696 (feat. Seth Green and Charlie Korsmo) – 05/31/1998 – Sunday Night Show Source – JBJ Tape (2008) with Spinfly Tape (2010) patches

We have 2 nearly complete copies of this episode that I have successfully Frankenstein’d into a single file, one of the all-time rarest bookings in CLL history.

Seth Green making his debut of the Adam Carolla era along with Charlie Korsmo doing his final bit of press before retiring from acting, again! Seth went onto Family Guy and movie stardom and Charlie got into missile defense research according to Seth on the 10-year reunion ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’ Blu Ray commentary.

If you love Seth Green, LoveLine and or the movie ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’ you must hear this classic ep! One of the greatest joys I’ve had in this archiving work

CLL #695 (feat. Mackenzie Astin) – 05/28/1998 – Thursday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016)

This is the only known source for this episode, nearly complete it’s only missing a few seconds and the closing “goodbye” segment. This is Mackenzie’s debut appearance of the Adam era but according to Dr. Drew he has guested several times in the past. This episode has been missing for over 18 years and is now nearly restored in full, this is the first time anyone has heard this since it aired. So new to the archive even I have not heard it yet, let’s enjoy it together and hear what unfolds, if this is a gem sadly it’s Mackenzie’s only known appearance during the Adam era, although he did guest on the MTV variant of LoveLine. They

This is the 3rd known recording for this infamous episode, it’s Adam’s 34th birthday and the guys from ‘Nelson’ make their CLL debut, make sure to listen to CLL #653 from March with the Morrell Twins before this episode. After what goes down during this episode Adam declares them as the nicest guys in the world. Birthday Pie, Drops and chaos a magical show combination indeed!

This is the newest source for this gem of an episode, Alexandra Paul returns and as promised with her Firefighter Twin sister. I used the existing sources to patch in any missing bits and we now have a new Frankenstein recording for you to enjoy. Drew lights up the mic with some haymakers and steady jabs throughout the night, affirmative action in hiring practices for firefighters is brought up by a caller and we get the definition of a “tossed salad” on air, gold!

CLL #690 (feat. The Love Between The Two Hosts) – 05/21/1998 – Thursday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016) With JBJ Tape (2008) Patches

This is the 3rd known source for this episode, which allowed for me to add in the missing few minutes of content to complete the episode, this episode was originally titled ‘Replacement Series’ in the JBJ collection and contains a visit from Dr. Drew’s stalker and great comedic one liners from Drew mocking Adam, particularly the “worms” bit, classic ep!

Show notes

CLL #688 (feat. Darrell Hammond) – 05/19/1998 – Tuesday Night Show Source – Kevin Tape (2016) with Spinfly Tape (2009) patches

This is the newest source and possibly the best quality we have, there are at least 6 different copies of this show in varying length and quality floating around the internet and found on Lovelinetapes.com. Darrell is making his CLL debut, he has 3 total appearances and returns to the show in 2000 and 2004 when co-starring alongside Dr. Drew in ‘New York Minute’ in this episode he shares what’s widely considered the darkest story in LoveLine guest history. It should be noted that years later Darrell admitted to some horrific childhood abuse and drug addiction in other interviews. Legendary Episode!
