They reflect on how living on the edge can be much more expensive and time consuming. Spending the day taking the bus, writing post-dated over-drafted checks, paying for gas with quarters or having to rollerblade to pick up your drunk girlfriend can take its toll when you are constantly scrambling to stay afloat.
