    In this episode, Rachel is going through a week of feeling unmotivated and uninspired. We all go through challenging times… while sitting with your struggles can be helpful for learning and evolving, we need know the difference between what is truth and what is our inner critical voice demanding too much of us. The most important thing to do during these harder moments is to pull yourself into the present moment to recognize what you actually need. If a night on the couch eating chocolate cake is what you need - do it! If it’s a run - move your body! If its time spent with loved ones - ask for it! It can be exhausting listening to that inner critical voice all the time telling us to be better and work harder. So, cut yourself some slack, ask for help and allow yourself to receive, and know you are not alone. Tune into an episode that will inspire you to do just that.

Having just been triggered by some not-great news, she shares how when she is present with her emotions, she can track how quickly contentment can be replaced with a feeling of unease. What if instead of letting it throw us off track, we can use our triggers as keys to unlock what’s inside of us to learn more about who we really are? The big things that throw us off often relate to childhood wounds. What does your inner child have to say? Are you reacting from an old wound, or are you able to respond from the present moment?     She shares the experiences of her childhood that taught her to hide her negative emotions and the work she has done since to allow herself to hold space for anger, frustration and sadness - all the feelings we think we should never feel.

    Rachel deeply knows that doing this work is part of her life purpose - watching people release trauma and grief that they’ve held onto for years is the closest she has ever felt to God.

    However, now she is realizing that being so busy, being so sick, and being the “facilitator” instead of a participant has stopped her own desires from coming to the surface. Mainly, her deep desire to have a second baby.

Ultimately, what we put in our bodies should make us feel good (it doesn’t matter how we look!).
