James Bond in Texas + North Hollywood Shoutout Finale Jan 25, 2024

Welcome back to the From Tailors With Love podcast, today we’re talking to my new friend James Bond. Yes that’s his real name, if you’ve seen the film The Other Fellow you’ll know who I’m talking about.

I was in Austin, Texas over the weekend. I put the word out I was in town and Matt Bauer the director connected James and I who lives about 40 miles outside of Austin. So he drove over to my hotel, we sat down had a beer in the lobby and we had a quick 10 minute chat which I enjoyed.

Event Diary | Charlie Higson Stole My Seat Dec 06, 2023

Recordings from last night's Q&A with Bond author Charlie Higson, followed by a screening of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

It starts with the bus ride to Shepherd's Bush where I bump into an old friend Aubrey Charles. We discuss his favourite Bond film and Madonna.

Next I speak to Neil Thomas, Rob Smith, Ajay Chowdhury and James Davies as we queue to get our books signed by Charlie.

Afterwards Rob Smith and I chat a little more about the screening, how Charlie Higson stole my seat and the optimum moments in OHMSS to go to the toilet. As we wait for the train back to Shepherd's Bush we are joined by Monica Germanà author of Bond Girls Body, Fashion and Gender.

Today on the show I'm talking to bespoke tailor Chris Kerr. We've had Chris on the show before to talk about Bond, he did the poker game jacket for Le Chiffre of course, he did the suit for Daniel Craig in the sony advert ahead of quantum.

I went to see Chris in person for a catch up, I gave him a copy of the non-award winning book from tailors with love, an evolution of menswear through the bond films.
