    KTLA Morning News anchor Frank Buckley engages fascinating guests in conversation. The award-winning Frank Buckley Interviews features newsmakers, celebrities, technologists, entrepreneurs, authors, athletes, artists, and everyday people doing extraordinary things. In 2022, Frank Buckley Interviews was honored with a National Entertainment and Journalism Award from the Los Angeles Press Club for one of its episodes. New episodes are released every Wednesday. The TV version airs on KTLA-TV Channel 5 on weekends and is also available on YouTube and the KTLA+ app.

    Father Gregory Boyle is a Jesuit priest and the founder and executive director of Homeboy Industries, a world famous gang intervention, rehabilitation and re-entry program in Los Angeles. The program provides training and employment to former gang members along with services like tattoo removal, substance abuse support, and mental health therapy. Homebody Industries was recently awarded the 2020 Humanitarian Prize from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, which recognizes one non-profit organization per year for its extraordinary contributions toward alleviating human suffering and comes with $2.5 million dollars in unrestricted funding. During this podcast, Father Greg discusses what he’s learned about why people join gangs and commit violence, he reveals how he and others help former gang members to heal, grow and transform into productive and healthy individuals, and he talks about a new documentary “Healing Trauma: Beyond Gangs and Prison” from Brave New Films and director Robert Greenwald.

    Mark Mothersbaugh is a musician, singer, composer and co-founder of the iconic 1970s and 80s rock/synth-pop group Devo. The group’s music and social commentary had a core group of devoted fans, with their biggest hit “Whip It” making it to number 14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in 1980.

    In the mid 80s, Mark began writing music for TV and movies beginning with “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.” Since then, he’s written music for more than 80 film and TV projects. Among his works: “Rugrats” and a number of Wes Anderson films including “Bottle Rocket,” “Rushmore,” “The Royal Tennenbaums” and “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.”

    During this podcast, Mark talks about how he discovered music as a child, the history of Devo, and his career as a composer for film and TV.

As a stand-up comic, Jo sells out venues like the Kia Forum in Inglewood and others across the U.S. He has appeared in stand-up comedy specials on Comedy Central and Netflix. Jo's comedy album "Live From Seattle" reached #1 on the Billboard charts in April of 2019. Jo appeared as a season regular roundtable guest on 140 episodes of Chelsea Lately. During this March 2020 conversation, Jo discusses his life and career and reveals how he self-financed his first Netflix special because the streaming service didn't want to fund it.
