Special Episode: Ladies of Light w Dames of Destiny & SafeGamers May 03, 2017

Show notes

This special episode is a recording of the live stream that Blue was able to help out with for the Dames of Destiny a few weekends ago as a part of their GuardianCon 2017 'Fun-Raiser'. The topic was that of what the group nicknamed the "Ladies of Light" - and the live stream hosts were Blue, DJ Kantrip, Silvar_loki, and Morcoire. More of a collection of thoughts around the topic than a full episode, the team thought that it would be cool to let those who might have missed the opportunity to jump into the chat to hear everyone's thoughts!

Ep 83 - Wrath of the Machine Apr 29, 2017

Show notes

Episode 83 brings Blue, Justin, and Green back together to chat about (and laugh over) the story behind the Wrath of the Machine raid within Destiny - from the "broken parentheticals" to a nightmarish concept of endlessly twisting steps of twizzlers, you should be entertained. We also chat about some of the awesome theories that were presented over on r/DestinyLore and from within our Discord chat - the community really had some great ideas on this one!

Ep 82 - Lore Update (The Awoken & The Fallen) Apr 22, 2017

Show notes

Episode 82 brings Blue, Justin, and returning special guest co-host Damoel back together to chat about the new breadcrumbs of information that we received in the Lore concerning the Awoken and Fallen - and the implications of what those tidbits of information can mean for the future of the Destiny universe. Granted, this is a shorter discussion than we normally have - but don't worry, Justin made up for the brief chat with commentary that brought both Blue and the chat close to tears. Usually of laughter.

Ep 81 - Lore Update (The Story of Yor) [Audio Grimoire Supplement] Apr 15, 2017

Show notes

As mentioned in the episode notes and show, we decided this week to provide a separate audio file for the Grimoire cards. This "Audio Grimoire Supplement" was put together by Blue and Green for everyone to have a chance to hear the Grimoire cards that fueled the conversation this week. Due to the number of cards mentioned (13 in total - ending up with roughly an hour of reading), we didn't want to sacrifice the depth of conversation on this amazing story.

Please be sure to also check out the amazing reading of the Thorn and The Last Word cards over on Ghost & Echoes - the work done there is truly awesome.

With that, enjoy the cards!!

Segment 1
- 01:15 - Thorn
- 02:00 - The Shadows of Yor
- 05:03 - Ghost Fragment: Thorn
Segment 2
- 07:20 - Rezyl Azzir (Before These Walls)

Ep 81 - Lore Update (The Story of Yor) [ft. MyNameisByf] Apr 15, 2017

Show notes

Episode 81 brings Blue, Green, Justin, and special returning guest co-host MyNameIsByf, back together to chat about a story that has (literally) been over 2 years in the making within the game of Destiny - The Story of Yor. Please note that this week, we're giving you two 'episodes' - this discussion and then a separate 'Audio Grimoire Supplement' that has the full reading of all the Grimoire cards mentioned in this episode. Get ready for a longer chat - we try to keep the conversation somewhat concise, but between Blue's enthusiasm and Justin's joking...we get derailed at some points (huge surprise, we know). Blue made a point of copying his notes into this week's mind map as well, since we weren't able to touch on all the points. Please be sure to check those out and let us know your thoughts!

Ep 80 - Lore Dive: Voidwalkers Apr 08, 2017

Show notes

Episode 80 brings Blue, Green, and Justin back together to dive into the lore surrounding the subclass often associated with vamiprism of the Light, the Voidwalkers. Forgive Blue for his rants on vampirism and the potential connectivenes implied within this description of the Light - he gets excited when these topics are 'allowed' in conversations. As with the other subclass episodes, while there isn't a large amount of Grimoire cards specific to this particular topic, the number of extra points of information are high - and this allows a very comprehensive view into the subclass in question for this episode. Just don't stare into the abyss of the Void for too long...you never know what might be staring back.

Extra Lore 13 - Portal Apr 06, 2017

Show notes

Our 13th installment of the Extra Lore series brings Blue, Green, Justin, and special guest co-hosts InferMage & DJ Kantrip together to explore the wacky world of the Portal series - which proves to be something of an adventure in and of itself. Gear up for some laughs and fond memories as the team opens one portal after another through this crazy series - ultimately trying to get all the basic plot points together for anyone intrigued by the odd sense of humor that these particular games offer. Just remember what to do when life gives you lemons, everyone - make combustible lemons!

Ep 79 - Lore Dive: Gunslingers Apr 01, 2017

Show notes

Episode 79 brings Blue, Green, Mel, and Justin back together to dive into the lore surrounding those quick reacting figures of legend, the Gunslingers. Granted, we keep wanting to talk about Cayde and just how awesome Hunters are in general (with a bit of a side bar on the intricate details of the knife design and a bit of a small tangent from Blue about the Dark Tower). Similar to the Sunsinger episode, there aren't a large number of Grimoire cards to pull into the conversation - though that doesn't mean that there isn't a good amount of information buried in other aspects of the lore and from other areas outside of the game.

Show notes

This special episode brings Blue, Green, Justin, and returning special guest co-host, Damoel together to chat about the massive update to the lore for Destiny that we received this week as a part of the Age of Triumph update. Get ready - it's a bit of a crazy train. From hilarious searches with Cayde to some hefty implications (and outright confirmations), there is a ton of information that the team touches on. Warning though - this is just a brief summary of the new information! Blue will be adding options to the weekly poll starting this weekend for a more in-depth exploration of the new information and a recap of how all the stories stand now that the conclusion for them is upon us.
