Ep 114 - Books of Sorrow Dec 31, 2017

Show notes

Episode 114 brings Blue, Justin, Green, and Beard back together for another debate episode over the Books of Sorrow - focusing especially on the question of why these items are important in game as well as if we can assign the label of "evil" to the entire species or not. We also discuss the meaning of the mysterious term "aiat" as well as let Green and Beard explain what they think about this week's leaked Music of the Spheres files.

Ep 113 - Dangers of AI Dec 24, 2017

Show notes

Episode 113 brings Blue, Green, Justin, and Beard back together to chat/argue about the dangers of artificial intelligence within the game world of Destiny - and, as usual, tangents stemming off that concept (especially ideas of what is artificial intelligence, the history of the concept, the developments within the real world, and even the psychological capabilities of artificial entities). The team is also looking forward to the new Spinfoil Saturday, which will be kicking off next week and is planned to be run every last Saturday of the month on Twitch - be sure to join in for the fun live chat as we discuss topics brought up by the chat while playing a variety of games for the evening!

Ep 112 - Lore Debate: Osiris Dec 17, 2017

Show notes

Episode 112 brings Blue, Justin, Green, and Beard back together to discuss/debate the nature of Osiris, in light of the new information presented to players from the recent DLC, Curse of Osiris. The chat is more about the overall arc of the story, and while there are aspects of the new lore that is given to us in game, the predominate focus is the character of Osiris rather than any individual piece of information. In addition, this week's Lost Lore was also an Osiris themed topic - dealing with the relationship that existed between Osiris and Toland the Shattered.

Ep 111 - The Power of Hope Dec 10, 2017

Show notes

Episode 111 brings Blue, Green, and Beard together to chat about the overarching power of Hope both within the Destiny universe and in our own. This episode is a bit of a tangent-filled exploration, as the topic itself is infused in just about everything that exists within Destiny - but ties in nicely with the Extra Lore episode that we had earlier this week.

Extra Lore 21 - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (ft. BelleBunny) Dec 08, 2017

Show notes

Our 21st installment of the Extra Lore series brings Blue, Green, Beard, and returning guest co-host BelleBunny together to discuss the powerful story of Hellblade - well, at least Green and Belle do. Blue and Beard, having not gotten a chance to really play (Blue has watched some of the game played and all of the cutscenes) really took a chance to take a back seat to the conversation. A large point of the discussion with this particular title was that of the emphasis on mental health - inside and outside of the game.
Note that while the game itself is rather gruesome - we do manage to keep it pretty PG in regards to the chat. There are a bit of more brutal concepts discussed, so anyone who isn't comfortable or have Little Lights listening in with you should just keep that in mind.

Ep 110 - Hunters Dec 03, 2017

Show notes

Episode 110 brings Blue, Green, Beard, and Justin back together to discuss the updated information that we have regarding those fashionable Hunters - focusing especially on the changes to the subclasses made in Destiny 2. The group also takes a small deviation at the start of the chat to discuss the recent occurrences in the Destiny community as well as discuss a slight change to the layout of the show (please let us know your thoughts/feedback on the discussed changes!!). For the Lost Lore segment, Blue tried to keep it brief, given the longer than usual intro - but the group discusses the new Hunter groups that we've seen, the Dead End Cure and Icarus Drifters.

Ep 109 - Exotic Weapons (ft. Morcoire) Nov 18, 2017

Show notes

Episode 109 brings Blue, Green, Beard, Justin (yep, he's back!!), and special guest co-host Morcoire to discuss the new information that Destiny 2 has brought into the discussion on exotic weapons as well as the new exotic weapons themselves. The team also takes the chance to talk about the new trailer for the Curse of Osiris in regards to the implications that the information had in regards to some of our theories. We tried to keep the "spoilers" to a minimum - but there might have been a few minor ones that slipped through in the chat for the Lost Lore segment.

Ep 108 - Titans Nov 12, 2017

Show notes

Episode 108 brings Blue, Green, and Beard back together to chat about the new information that we've seen so far in Destiny 2 on the Guardian Class of Titans - which includes a fair amount of 'refreshing' on the topic from information that was pretty well hidden within the Grimoire of Destiny 1. Get ready for some light-hearted chatter on the Titan Orders, Hosts, notable figures (alive, deceased, and those we still have yet to learn the fate of), as well as the subclasses we have available to us in Destiny 2.

Ep 107 - The Collapse Nov 05, 2017

Show notes

Episode 107 brings Blue, Green, and Beard back together to chat about the events which occurred prior to the Destiny games - the Collapse. Delving back into some of the information that the community received from Destiny 1 Grimoire and discussing the differing views of the Darkness which came about as a result of the events of the Collapse, the team nevertheless manages to have some enjoyable banter (and tangents - as is common with Blue and Beard).

Extra Lore 20 - Marvel (ft. DJ Kantrip & Damoel) Nov 03, 2017

Show notes

Our 20th installment of the Extra Lore series brings Blue, Green, Beard, and returning guest co-hosts DJ Kantrip and Damoel together to chat about the Marvel Universe (yep, we're doing it again!). We hit the ground at a pretty decent speed, and don't really let up as we careen through the more well known figures from the Marvel series (heroes and villains and....all the shades in between). Thankfully we don't trigger any Damo-rage (though we gain some insight on what pressure points are there for....future use).
