Feeling burnt out?
Did you know that you can X-Wing in ways other than tense tournaments wherein crazed competitors engage in savage bloodletting over acrylic shinies?
And that these other methods of X-Winging can actually be fun? Moisture Farmer takes command of this episode to remind Dee of that word...FUN. He leads a discussion of alternatives to the standard 100 point dogfight, and we spend the bulk of our enthusiasm on the terrific (and free!) Heroes of Aturi Cluster cooperative campaign.

Hello Nerf Herders and Womp Rats! We have actually made it to EPISODE 20! To celebrate, FFG was kind enough to reveal what is coming in Wave 9! Armed with this newfound knowledge hosts Ryan, Dee, and Dallas speculate what kind of beautiful goodness is headed our way later this year...well...maybe. They also discuss the average speed of FFG's cargo boat and if we would be better off giving our stuff to Pilgrims to ship for us.

FLY BETTER!
A certain Podcast host won his home Regional and has managed to grow even more insufferable. He boasts, rants, then attempts to share some actual X-Wing insight on the topic of Variance. We’re fresh off participating in the San Diego X-Wing Miniatures Regional at At Ease Games, and Mynock Squadron had a solid showing. Ryan defends his podcast credentials, Dallas trolls his way into the Top 4, and it’s an all Mynock final showdown between John Davis and one of our Hosts! Did Ryan make good on his promise to win? Today you'll also hear Dee utterly fail to keep his ego in check, and also self-righteously soapbox at FFG forum posters who dared to have the temerity to complain about Regionals. Eventually, he gets around to sharing what little knowledge he does possess regarding the topic of Variance, and how to strategically approach it. (Dee is growing to love referring to himself in the third person, as Dee is the exceptionally handsome and intelligent paragon, in whose presence greatness can palpably be felt, who wrote this show descriptor.)
The X-Wing community has been busy as of late preparing their very best squadrons for the heated competition known as Regionals. Hosts Ryan, Dee, and Dallas discuss the most recent regional tournaments and how different squads have fared. Also, Dallas talks in detail about his Fresno victory and Ryan makes a BOLD proclamation about how his Regional may go. (Which by the time you're listening has already gone by.) In a land filled with U-boats and saggy old Emperors, one man continues to fly what some consider the "purest" X-Wing squadron...the TIE Swarm. As per the Mynock creed, Dallas Parker [Texx] continues to stubbornly stick to his guns when it comes to his favorite archtype. As fate may have it, the "Crack Swarm" has vaulted to the top of the meta, and we have the man, the myth, the legend on to discuss it.
Also, we find out just how many snacks can fit in the NEW MILLENNIUM FALCON! That's right, Heroes of the Resistance has been announced and we are eager to share with you our thoughts on just how good it can be.
Have you ever dreamed of flying in one of the most elite ships in the entire Imperial Fleet? Do you want to K-Turn and still take actions? Do you want to fire an ion cannon THEN fire your primary? Do you want a FREE evade token for moving quickly through a dogfight?
Well then recruit, the TIE Defender might be for you! This week Ryan and Dee interview possibly the greatest Defender Pilot in the history of X-Wing...the legendary Biophysical. Yes this is the guy who was WINNING by running just Rexlar Brath and Colonel Vessary...pre Defender fix!
So paint on some blood stripes and buckle up, it's going to be one heck of a ride.
FLY BETTER!
With the first batch of X-Wing Regionals in the bag, we examine successful squads. The first half-dozen Regionals of 2016 are history, and the environment has been defined (albeit not conquered) by "U-boat" Contracted Scouts. In their meta-shaping wake, a variety of Imperial Aces contend with TIE Crack Swarms, tanky Rebels, and... A-Wing Swarms? And just so we aren't COMPLETELY useful, we close by quibbling over rules and stirring the drama pot.
Fly Better!
After a few episodes of boasting, drama, and incredible self-admiration the Mynocks get back to doing what they do best...actual content. We bring back our ship spotlight and upgrade card segments as well as discuss the news bomb dropped by Imperial Veterans. So hit up your Admiral Snakbar and kick back for some fun!
