Episode 418 John Cummings is a First Class Father and Candidate for Congress in New York. John was born and raised in the Bronx and remains an engaged and active member of the community. He followed in his father’s footsteps and was sworn into the NYCPD in January of 1983. John suffered a serious knee injury in the line of duty, and was forced to retire in July 1991. He did so with multiple commendations for bravery and excellence in the line of duty. In 1998, John returned to his alma mater, St. Raymond High School in the Bronx, as a History and Government teacher, where he just completed his 22nd year. John has also been the Alumni Coordinator, Director of Development, the History Department Chairperson, and the Recruiting Coordinator, a role he now handles in addition to his teaching duties. John also serves as the cantor at school Masses, held on Catholic Holy Days of obligation. In this Episode, John shares his Fatherhood journey which includes two adult children. Tito is making his second appearance on First Class Fatherhood and was last interviewed on Episode 237. Tito became a professional fighter and world champion at age 23. As a supporter of our US troops he visited them abroad in Iraq 6 times. Tito is also a strong supporter of our first responders being a contributor to annual charities for the fire department, police department, and children’s hospitals. Episode 416 Jake Zweig is a First Class Father, Former Navy SEAL and Director of Football Player Development at the University of Illinois. He earned a master’s of business administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s of science in computer science from the U.S. Naval Academy. Jake was named the leader of BUD/s Class 217, went on to serve with SEAL Team 8 and attained the rank of Lieutenant. He Co-hosted the Discovery Channel series titled “Dude You’re Screwed” that pitted Special Forces veterans and survivalists in a competition to survive the world’s harshest places. Zweig notably defied the freezing peak of an Icelandic mountain and a scorching desert in southwest Africa. Jake also Competed in the History Channel’s “Top Shot” marksmanship show.
