Hyper Epic Legendary Pop-Culture Ultimate Showdown

Every week we throw movies, video games, comic books, TV shows, anime, crypto, tier lists, fast food menus, and whatever else Twitter is yelling about into a neon-lit Japanese-style arena and force them to fight for supremacy. Expect unhinged hot takes, 45-minute arguments over whether Goku could predict the Ethereum charts, mandatory punishment games, airhorns at random, and at least one host crying by the end. If your favorite franchise leaves the episode without emotional damage, we didn’t do our job.

Adar and the Orc army find the watchtower abandoned. While they search the grounds, Arondir destroys the tower, causing it to collapse onto the Orc army. The townspeople, who moved down the valley to another village, cheer as they prepare for the next assault. Arondir hides the broken blade, professes his love to Bronwyn, and promises a life together after the battle. The battle begins, and while the villagers appear victorious, many of the enemy they killed were actually the traitorous townspeople disguised as Orcs. The rest of the Orc army attacks from the shadows, killing many and severely wounding Bronwyn. As more villagers die, Theo reveals the location of the broken blade to Adar to save Bronwyn. After journeying across the sea, the Númenórean army approaches and slay or capture the remaining Orcs. Adar gives Waldreg a task before attempting to escape, only to be captured by Galadriel and Halbrand. They interrogate him, discovering his origins as one of the Moriondor or Uruks, Elves corrupted by Morgoth. He taunts them, feigning memory of killing Halbrand's Southlander family and claiming to have killed Sauron. As Halbrand is hailed as the King of the Southlands, Theo realizes the broken blade they recovered was a decoy while the true blade had been carried back to the watchtower by Waldreg. He plants it into a mechanism causing a nearby dam to open. Water rushes through the Orc tunnels towards Orodruin and clashes with magma, resulting in a phreatomagmatic eruption and a pyroclastic cloud that approaches the village. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tradepaperbacks/message --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rangerryan/message

Ten years later, Rhaenyra has given birth to three boys, Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey, who all lack the silver hair of the Targaryens/Velaryons. Viserys rejects Alicent's accusation that the children are bastards. Alicent tells Aegon that he must eventually fight Rhaenyra for the throne. Daemon and Laena visit Essos with daughters Baela and Rhaena, where the Prince of Pentos offers a lordship in exchange for an alliance against a resurgent Triarchy. Unable to give birth, Laena has her dragon Vhagar incinerate her. Ser Criston, now loyal to Alicent, goads Ser Harwin into attacking him by insinuating that Harwin fathered Jacaerys. This perpetuates rumours of Rhaenyra's infidelity with Harwin. In response, Rhaenyra proposes Jacaerys marry Helaena, Alicent's daughter, which Alicent rejects, and Ser Lyonel Strong offers his resignation as Hand of the King, which Viserys rejects. Viserys permits Lyonel to escort Harwin back to Harrenhal. Harwin leaves after an emotional farewell to Rhaenyra and her children. Rhaenyra, her children, and Laenor leave for Dragonstone. Alicent confides to Larys Strong she wishes her father was still the king's Hand, so Larys helps her by having criminals cause a fire at Harrenhal that kills Lyonel and Harwin. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tradepaperbacks/message --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rangerryan/message

He had never encountered someone like John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), a massive black man convicted of brutally killing a pair of young sisters. Coffey had the size and strength to kill anyone, but not the demeanor. Beyond his simple, naive nature and a deathly fear of the dark, Coffey seemed to possess a prodigious, supernatural gift. Paul began to question whether Coffey was truly guilty of murdering the two girls. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tradepaperbacks/message --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rangerryan/message
