We all have a story. And, our story informs and shapes our present reality, especially the ways we show up in the most intimate and vulnerable spaces. In this episode, you'll hear a beautifully redemptive story. Kristin Richardson from the Fearless In Love podcast joins to share the journey she and her husband Todd made through the devastation of sexual brokenness.

While pornography is part of Todd's story, there is greater depth behind that sin struggle. Kristin brings insight, understanding and so much wisdom as she shares how the Lord has brought restoration, healing and freedom as they walk in more joy in their marriage today than they could have ever imagined.

About Kristin Richardson:

Kristin Richardson has been married to her high school sweetheart, Todd, for 33 years and together they have ministered through "Resurrecting Sexuality" Conferences, RS Workbook studies, mentoring and coaching for the past five years. Through their story, they have experienced the power of the gospel and it has transformed their marriage. They're passionate about sharing the hope of the gospel related to sexuality and the beauty and glory of God's design for sex. Kristin and Todd are blessed with three beautiful children plus two children in-loves and a precious grandson.

Currently they share their message through a podcast called Fearless in Love.

You were made for intimate connection; with God, with your spouse, with your family and friends. Yet, in the culture of busyness, you may find yourself pulled in so many directions, the noise of life and doing all the things begins to drown out the ability to cultivate true connection.

Margin is required for deep intimacy. We're going to talk about how to create margin on purpose and start taking ground in creating deep connection and intimacy. Whether you are newly wed, in the thick of raising kids or in the empty nest stage, creating margin is season to season. It's never easy and it doesn't happen naturally, but you CAN find rhythms of margin in your season of life.

Reframe Conversation: Masturbation (#167) Aug 28, 2023

Is masturbation right or wrong? There's a healthy pause that comes with answering this question because it's quite layered and there isn't scripture that provides a firm answer. Yet, we know that all things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial.

In this conversation we'll take a bigger picture view at the issues involved. Touching yourself or doing something in private that you want to keep secret is riddled with shame and not helpful to your marriage connection. On the contrary, the idea of believing your body is good as you desire body awareness and self cultivation for the sake of sharing it with your husband can be beneficial and promote healthy connection.

This may require a bit of awareness as you continue to recognize ways you can live more integrated. Growth requires intentionality, so in this episode we are intentionally focusing on sexual desire so that we might become more aligned with God. From Purity Culture to Pure Pleasure (#164) Aug 07, 2023

Many of us were raised in the purity culture. As we have become wives, we are unpacking some unhealthy, unhelpful influences. In this episode we'll discuss a few of the unhelpful lies and the heaviness of legalism that many of us have believed. Christian women aren't sexual. Good girls don't talk about sex. Thinking about sexual desire is a waste of time. Sex is for men and their pleasure.

These falsehoods are rooted in lies from the enemy that have been with us for centuries. As we uproot the lies, we can look at God's good design and learn to walk in freedom and abundance. God made us as sexual beings, giving us senses and anatomy that allow us to experience pure pleasure.
