Feeling Things with Amy & Kat

Feeling Things with Amy & Kat is a podcast for anyone who’s ever had feelings—or wants to. Hosted by Amy Brown and therapist Kat Van Buren, this is a space where nothing is off-limits. From deep reflections on childhood to pop culture obsessions to what’s happening in the world, all feelings deserve a seat at the table—big, small, awkward, joyful, confusing, and everything in between. At its core, it’s real friends having real conversations about real feelings. Some episodes go deep, some stay light, but all are rooted in curiosity, honesty, and connection. In a world that moves fast, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause… and feel things.

Soul Sessions: Why You Feel Stuck: Navigating Eclipse Season & The 4 Universal Month Mar 22, 2026
    Show notes

If you feel like you’re losing your mind, your mojo, or your clarity—you aren’t wrong. We are currently walking through an "energetic depression" and reorientation. This month is about integration, not just execution.

While the 4 Universal Month energy (within a 1 Universal Year) pushes us to "get ‘er done" and get organized, the heavy astrology of Eclipse Season and Mercury Retrograde creates a "mirage in the desert" effect. We can see the future timeline, but we can't quite touch it yet.

    Key Themes Today:

    • The Shadow of Urgency: Understanding why we feel like nothing is happening fast enough.
    • Trimming the Fat: Getting organized and cleaning up your energetic field.
    • Authentic Response: Learning to listen to your field instead of seeking quick fixes or more consumption.
    • The Battle for Light: How to stay human and grounded during times of spiritual and energetic "warfare."

The Takeaway: The fire hasn’t landed yet, but the restructuring is real. Don’t push—do things truer and deeper. Your purpose is evolving rapidly; keep your wits about you and find your people.

What's God Got To Do With It?: "Are You Here?" — Finding Signs from Heaven After Loss (With Jenny Robinson-Clark) Mar 21, 2026
    Show notes

Join us for a deeply personal conversation as we sit down with Jenny Robinson-Clark, debut children's book author and my dear friend of over 30 years. Jenny opens up about her heart-wrenching journey following the loss of her mother and the miraculous signs from heaven that inspired her beautiful book, "Are You Here?: A Story about the Magical Signs All Around Us."

When Jenny lost her mom, her world was turned upside down. But in the weeks that followed, something extraordinary began to happen—she started receiving signs. A rainbow on a cloudy day. An owl on her porch. A butterfly in the park. At first, she wondered if she was imagining it. But the signs kept coming, and she realized: her mom was still here. Not gone. Just... different.

In this episode, Jenny shares how God orchestrated those sacred moments and used nature to speak to her grieving heart, why she felt called to write a children's book that teaches kids (and adults) that love never leaves—it just changes form, and the heartbreaking question every grieving child asks—"Can they still see me?"—and why her book answers with a resounding YES.

This isn't just a children's book. It's a bedtime story that heals, not just entertains. It's for anyone who's ever lost someone and looked for a sign—and found one.

Join us as we explore Jenny's beautiful story of hope birthed out of grief, and learn how to open your heart, ask for a sign, and trust that your loved ones are still with you. Be prepared for an inspiring conversation filled with faith, wonder, and the reminder that love doesn't end—it just finds new ways to say hello.

Write Your Story: When the Body Says “No” Mar 20, 2026
    Show notes

Have you ever had a situation where your mind said “yes” but your body said “no”?

Or vice versa — your mind said “no” and your body said “yes”?

Maybe someone asked for your help and your mind told you that helping was the kind, generous thing to do but you also felt your stomach tighten, your breath constrict and voice shake as you agreed to be of assistance.

We’re quick to dismiss our bodies but at what cost?

The body speaks in whispers; but then when we don’t listen, it speaks louder and louder until it gets its message across.

What might your body be saying that you aren’t hearing?

How much louder will it have to speak before you listen?

Soul Sessions: Don’t Quit Before The Miracles: Managing Nervous System Overwhelm & Energetic Chaos Mar 15, 2026
    Show notes

If you feel like your nervous system is reacting instead of responding, you aren’t alone. We are currently moving through an unprecedented structural recalibration—a "purge" phase of evolution where our bodies, minds, and spirits may feel like they are revolting. In this energetic check-in, we discuss why the internal and external chaos you’re experiencing is actually a dismantling of the old to make way for the authentic.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Survival vs. Authenticity: Why structures built on adrenaline, high anxiety, and people-pleasing are crumbling like a house of cards.
    • The "False Urgency" of 2026: Navigating the pressure to move faster when the soul is calling for integration and living from the inside out.
    • Psychic Fracturing: Why destabilization is the richest energy for developing intuitive gifts, even when it feels like deja vu or vivid pre-cognitive dreams.
    • When Tools Fail: What to do when traditional grounding and "Tony Robbins encouragement" aren’t working, and why the most compassionate thing you can do is simply be.
    • Saturn in Aries: Addressing the profound sense of loneliness and isolation during this transition.

Whether you’re experiencing panic attacks, deep grief, or a total disinterest in unaligned relationships, remember: the moment before the breakthrough always feels the toughest. We are building new neural pathways in a field of tall wheat; it takes repetition, grace, and the refusal to quit on yourself. You are qualified to be here for this awakening—don't stop before the miracle.

Write Your Story: Two Responses to Suffering Mar 14, 2026
    Show notes

There are only two real responses to suffering:

    Push it away.

Or say to it: “yes and thank you”

There is no “right” way to suffer, and in fact, most of us have tried both responses many different times.

But once you discover what’s possible when you soften into suffering, you can’t unsee it.

In today’s episode I’ll share an update on my health and talk about what I’m learning lately about loss, failure, heartbreak and suffering.

I hope this lesson finds its home with you too.

What's God Got To Do With It?: Granger Smith: How Faith Led Me Through the Darkest Night Mar 13, 2026
    Show notes

Join us for an intimate conversation as we sit down with Granger Smith, a country music star who dedicated his life to ministry. Granger opens up about his heart-wrenching journey following the tragic loss of his youngest son, River, which he vulnerably shares in his book, "Like a River."
On June 4th, 2019, Granger's life changed forever when River drowned in their family pool. The devastating tragedy sent him into a dark and painful journey, filled with grief, guilt, and criticism from the outside world. Alone on his tour bus one night, he had a transformative spiritual encounter with God that lifted him out of despair and onto a path of healing and renewal.

In this episode, Granger shares his vulnerable testimony and the profound lessons he learned including the deep truths about God and faith that emerged from River's passing, navigating grief and the struggles he encountered while trying to support his family through their collective grief, and the moment he felt God's presence and the spiritual encounter that changed his life forever.

His experience of nearly taking his own life and finding new purpose led him to the remarkable growth that came from his suffering, and he shares why he wouldn't turn back time, even if it meant having River back. This led to him listening to "the call", as he decided to leave his music career to become a minister , and he shares how preaching has brought him more fulfillment than fame ever did.

Join us as we explore Granger's triumphant story of new life birthed out of tragedy, and learn how to face your own failures, confront pain, and connect with God— even when you're in your darkest season.
